Yeah, this was nicer. Also i noticed in Calgary the buildings are designed simple.

Yeah and the only restriction in Calgary is that the building shadow shouldn't be casted on bow river. so we can go taller in DT core.

I checked and the circle K is closed along with other shops in the complex.

Seems like the construction may start soon...

found out that this Circle K is closed permanently and whole complex. A new 32 story building is proposed on location. Anyone have idea? Just across where The Plaza is being proposed DP is also submitted https://dmap.calgary.ca/?p=DP2020-5899

Yeah, but i think the shelter nearby might be the reason for no developments.

The old building is demolished, and site is empty since few months.

Also, i use the train daily in free zone, and i noticed most of the time there's technical problem along the downtown area which leads to delay for few more minutes.

in that case we could have done elevated, and on street level a streetcar would have been better option and the main road in downtown would have been useful for other traffic. its very bad that main means of transit have to stop at red lights at every intersections.
