If you are talking about post-2050 preliminary plans, then yes. However, that would also require reconfiguration of most, if not all, 409/427 ramps... However, there are no immediate plans (ie, nothing in the next 30 years) to expand T1 beyond Pier H and I as shown here...

Yes, "either raising or lowering the floors and converting the spaces into residential and retail" is what I remember as well. But I also reading that the buildings are in very bad shape, and not much of the original materials will be left. Also, I cant imagine how they can lower/raise the floor...

There was a video of a developer explaining why they elected not to expand parking (this was their original plan, but they had to cut back to reduce costs). I've been trying to find the video, but couldn't find it. I am sure 42 would know...

Actually... from what I remember reading from the developer's documents, the plan is to demolish and rebuild most part of those Yonge Street buildings (ie, only facades and some minor structural items will be left, remainder will be completely rebuild from scratch).

I wonder the same thing. If I were to buy such a high-priced condo, I would buy it in a more exclusive building (ex, Four Seasons, Shangri-La, Ritz, or one of the boutique smaller condos such as Florian). I would not want to live in a huge vertical student ghetto with a high chance of fire...

I hear ya. I feel the same way. So sick of people who work the system, live off the taxes we pay, and cheat the system. As a part of my job, I see a lot of less fortunate people. Most honest poor people don't really benefit from the system. Instead, their place is taken by cheats and lazy...

Was passing by today... they made a lot of progress. The support columns have the concrete deck laid all the way until the Viscount Link station. Pretty impressive. Sorry, but couldn't take pictures.
