They re-opened the street today. I don't understand why they are not doing any work on the actual curbs or sidewalks. This would've been a great time to do this with the street closed and fairly good weather. Minimal work has been done on the rest of Harbour St. Are they waiting for a snow or...

Lower Simcoe / Lakeshore intersection today:

Correct. The "4th lane" is the shoulder lane as seen on blueprints. see page 2

More updates from today. Progress on sidewalks. Most of the lights have been installed. "Rails" have been added.

More updates from today. The ramp had most of the remaining concrete poured couple of the days ago. Still needs to have heating system and asphalt completed: No progress elsewhere:

Update from today. Work on the ramp is progressing... slowly...

Agreed. But I was wondering about surface parking lots immediately surrounding the Value Garage. Not sure how large are those lands and who actually owns them

I agree with what you said. Entire plan fails to explain what happens to expensive T1, T3 and long-term parking garages and the 2 hotels (T3 hotel and ALT hotel). No matter how good the transit system is, there would be people who still need to drive and park somewhere. The infrastructure they...

They paved the south side of the road between LS and Bay and rebuilt North side from LS and York during the Labour Day weekend. You are clearly being antagonistic in your responses while demonstrating lack of all of information on this topic. If you look just few posts up, you will see that I...

They managed to do just that for the South side from York to Bay and entire 4 lanes from LS to York when they closed the road for a Labour Day weekend. It's too bad if they do use this opportunity to rebuild the rest of the road now while the weather is still good.

I don't know if your response is sarcasm or something else is wrong... But yes, I hope that they finish the North part of the stretch between York and Bay this weekend. They have 3 full days to do that.

I hope they are planning to also finish the stretch from York to Bay

They finally started construction on the bottom half of the ramp

Not much happened last week. The ramp has not been touched with the exception of the barriers on the already-completed section. The rest of the road is nearly identical to the prior pictures.

Here you go. It does look like they are abandoning that idea. They would have to re-do the work they just did to accommodate that additional lane. I predict that the ramp will have a 3rd "right-turn only" lane. And two lanes will continue onto Harbour Street

Here is the image from today. You can see that there is enough space for a narrow yet functional shared bike/pedestrian path.
