Pre-Con just takes too long. You have Berkzy purchasers thinking they'll be moving in in 2 years because "that's what they said at the sales center". Try 4 years.
Lets say I would have bought into 1 Bloor... I'm 30 now....lets throw in about 4-5 delays...the building might register by the...
Was at "The Real Jerk" the other day and walked by the construction site. They're really moving along now. I like this project. And the building that houses the strip club is beautiful. Would love to see it converted into a condo or office building.
Uh oh, what does this mean for Winners?
I hope the Marshall's here isn't a watered down version of the US chain. In the US branch you can find a lot of Ralph Lauren, Lacoste, etc.
I know Lanterra charges an arm and a leg for upgrades, but there's no way that $100K was spent on upgrades. I don't know whether to laugh or cry. The kitchen looks cheap. The floor does not match and I hate how the floor extends past the island. In open concept spaces like this...I think...
LOL, you're not going to get much work on -20C days. It's probably not safe either. There's a reason why you don't see much progress on buildings during the winter months...especially if they're at this stage.
Anyone have a unit near the garbage chute? I live a number of doors down but hear anytime garbage goes down the chute. It's quite loud. Keep in mind I used to live in a unit that was right next to the chute and rarely heard anything.
I think there will be a premium for large 1 bedrooms eventually.
1 bedrooms are now being sold as shoe boxes (450-550sqft). 1+dens are nice....but would you really take a 600sqft 1+1 over a 750 sqft 1 bedroom (provided they both have great layouts)?
This building will probably be registered in like 6 years. Who knows what the market will be like by that time? $800/ft for this kind of building 6 years from now might be a steal or might be absurd.
