Currently the smoke is primarily from northern Ontario and Quebec, cmac is right. I don’t profess to know much about air and wind patterns I’m just going off of the weather network.

That cladding is looking better than I was expecting.

The more I see I think it’s getting worse not better.

Was literally about to write the exact same thing. Not only that but the black building in the foreground of the above photos pops too. Even a few more mediocre towers with colour would do a lot to improve the overall appearance of the skyline.

From a distance these look better than most of what’s around them. That’s not a high bar but the final product doesn’t look too when you’re not up close to see the full extent of the cheapening. This development is being carried by the fact that it has very good massing and overall design, so...

That 3rd design does look pretty cool ngl. Hopefully this is still high quality regardless of what we’re getting.

Somehow I’ve held off on commenting since the cladding has been unveiled. At first it’s because I was slightly disappointed in the colour, then I wanted to reserve my judgement and then I was just busy and felt way too late to the party. I still think I would’ve like this to be slightly more...

I really want to like this

So I did actually get one low quality shot of this last night, in the dark. I guess the one good thing you can say about the photo is that building looks much less oppressive thanks to the fact that it’s soulless black form lends itself to the darkness of night.

Now for nighttime shots on my new iPhone. These are not touched up at all and I’m really impressed tbh.

Went to the jays game last night but was in a rush. Unfortunately I really only had time to quickly snap this one the way in and not other nearby projects. First daytime shots on the way in

It's funny, I actually prefer the grey sections myself. I ultimately think this would've been better if they picked one pattern and stuck to it, rather than this mis mash of two. But I still think it's decent overall. Far from bad.

    Toronto Toronto | Concord Canada House | 231.97m | 74s | Concord Adex | Arcadis

I'm sorry but to me, these two are truly awful. Some flagship project this turned out to be.

    Kitchener Station Park | 184.95m | 50s | VanMar Developments | Kirkor

Tower E is a ways off still but the plaza is demolished and work on the 3rd tower here is starting I believe.

    Kitchener Toronto | 459 Mill Street | 143.7m | 44s | Polocorp | Neo Architecture

This was recently approved by council, with even the notoriously anti development Debbie Chapman voting in favour of it. It would appear that hell truly has frozen over with this one, but I'm not complaining, it's one of the best developments in the region.

    Kitchener Toronto | TEK Tower | 144.5m | 45s | IN8 Developments | srm Architects

That makes two of us. One of the best revitalization projects in the region over the last decade or two. U-Haul isnt going anywhere from what I've heard. Their business is booming thanks to the amount of development going on (surprise surprise) so they are content to stay for the moment. It...

    Toronto Toronto | 88 Queen | 167.35m | 52s | St Thomas Dev | Hariri Pontarini

My gut reaction is to hate it, but for some reason I feel like at a larger scale it might turn out ok.

    Toronto Toronto | 11 YV | 213m | 62s | Metropia | Sweeny &Co

Wowww. I really don't know what to think of this one. I thought it was going to be one of the few buildings that actually going to live up to the Yorkville prestige. I'm holding off on saying it's downright bad, but def not super high end either.

    This is majorly disappointing. Wow.
