Construction stopped yesterday on all the Del Terra portion. Ellis Don continued on with the corner tower. They are still setting up for the removal. The mobile crane from Montreal arrived this morning.

Regarding the crane issue today, the neighbourhood tonight was notified that the crane on Building B structurally failed today (noticed it as well when I got home). No one was hurt. It will be taken down starting tomorrow and lasting into late Sunday. It is going to be tricky affair with...

Just walked by the site. Really moving along with the protection work along King. I wonder the timeline the tenants have been given to get out.

Spadina & Adelaide was in the unscheduled category. The discussion years ago (if I recall correctly) was getting someone like BIG to design some sort of stilt above Quantum because of the building's significant heritage designation. Been waiting for it. Allied has easier fish to fry.

The King& Spadina* project might be an interesting one if it is the one I am thinking about on the north west corner, "above" Quantum Coffee. Last I heard from Allied about it 3-4 years ago, it was going to be a significant architectural investment. Anyone else know any more?

Not the kind you think you desire. It's also about the mix on Wellington to purchase, which does not exist. IMO, there should have been only one rental building on Wellington to provide better a mix for purchasers. Why? Wellington St. W is a desirable place to own a condo and Tridel are only...

Yes, it is disappointing indeed and not new news to us, but I had hoped that with the current market escalation in the last year or so, that perhaps they had changed their mind. So, which one is first for sales?

As well, the Eclipse building use to house the Tim Horton's on the north-east corner of King and John.

The development approved by the City always retained the Eclipse Building and housing the Mirvish Gallery on the top floor(s) after renovation. The article is a bit misleading in the sense that Mirvish's first application to the City did not have this specific approach. I believe the only reason...

Thanks to RonThom for pointing out the new applications submitted before Xmas with updated info. Here is a crude graphic I made up to guide us on residential units at the Well based on the latest applications so that we are all on the same page. It actually has less condo units than I thought at...

Building F on the Front Street side is the largest and is rental. I can’t imagine the smaller Building D and E on Front going cheaper than Pemberton’s cheapo butcher block at Richmond and Portland. That makes no sense. The Well is a completely different scale of quality.

Yea, I get they are knockout panels and it is in the planning stages, but the Tridel marketing folks will sure to talk about it, including the ***ahem*** RailDeck Park. BTW, where are the new stats for each building and do you know which ones are rental? I must of missed it. This is what I have...

When the rock excavation is done, this whole neighbourhood is going to pop open a giant bottle of champagne. You can not believe the noise and dust we have endured. All going to be worth it.

    Toronto Toronto | The Well | 174.03m | 46s | RioCan | Hariri Pontarini

Let's look at the facts. This is the misnomer with this project - in terms of condo residential, it is not that big given its footprint. There are only 1818 residential units in the whole development. More than half are going to be rental. So, selling less than 900 units is not going to be hard...

Rumour of a settlement on this one with the City but do not have the details. Anyone know more?

    Toronto Toronto | 474 Wellington Street West | 54.95m | 13s | Hullmark | a—A

I suspect that since the application was supposedly in the "without prejudice" stage it should not have been posted by the City.

As part of the neighbourhood association that first saw this design many years ago in its infancy, all I can say is that David and the crew at HPA pulled it off. Too bad HPA decided to move out of our neighbourhood to Leslieville. Kudos to Allied for championing good design. The first floor...
