    Edmonton Real Estate Market

This is also good news for continued affordability, which, to me, is the best selling point of Edmonton: affordable but with everything (or almost) you can expect in a big city.

Agree to disagree. I'll take these over stucco 11/10 times. Especially over time

You clearly lack any sort of sense of humour. Ffs, a tongue-in-cheek comment and you're gearing up for war. Take a chill pill, buddy

    Roads to Avoid

I avoid that like the plage. I've got nothing in particular against the hairpin, though. Surprisingly enough, that thing flows relatively well, even during rush hour.

    Downtown

It's just Pampa. It's Portuguese, not Spanish. If there was to be an article there, it would be "O" Pampa, because Portuguese is a gendered language and Pampa is a masculine word.

If they'd gone for panels, instead of stucco, and glass on the balconies, it would've looked absolutely incredible, but I do agree that it doesn't look nearly as good as the renders made me expect.

Honestly, if they had made the railings like that throughout, it would've actually made the whole building look quite cool

    Edmonton International Airport (EIA/YEG)

Not as large as Nashville, but still a hub. There are A LOT of big names in country nowadays who are based in ATL.

That only shows your absolute lack of knowledge of these places and an overall very prejudicial point of view.

    Alberta Politics

Someone was complaining about Poland's president being here, or something, a few days ago, in another thread, calling him a wannabe dictator. Well, considering who our premier is, and how dictatorial she is, I'd say we have more pressing wannabe dictators to worry about.

    Edmonton International Airport (EIA/YEG)

ATL is also a hotspot for country music and lifestyle, in general, which makes it all that much more appealing to me (and a lot of people around the area).

    The Parks | 146.91m | 45s | 35s | 13s | Pangman | Hariri Pontarini

The one thing I'd still love to see is 103 and 104 avenues getting more stuff as well. It would be great to see the skyline being pushed a bit northwards too, especially in the warehouse district area.

    Miscellaneous

I got a vendor at work named Parts for Trucks... I swear to god that one day I'll call them and ask if they sell stuffed animals or something 😂

    Downtown Real Estate

The one curious thing for me is why the MacLab group would sell it, considering the history and all. Maybe they're gearing up for some new projects?

Then don't buy it. Simple. If there are people willing to pay for it, it's not outrageous. This is also not a social project or something that will affect people's lives, so being outraged by it doesn't really make sense, IMO. I'd be outraged if they were renting out affordable housing units...

Doesn't matter... Anywhere will have outliers in the market, and they tend to be relatively proportional. There's definitely not a market for a whole strip of high-rises with $5M+ condos in Edmonton, but there's definitely a market for a few units (damn, we're talking what? 7, 8 units... in a...

    Edmonton Oilers

It was pretty solid except for a few blips. The blips don't scare against LA, but against a higher calibre team they can be fatal, tho. The last 10 min of the 2nd and the middle 10 of the second, especially, were not too great. All LA goals were lucky shots save maybe for 1, and none of them...
