I'm assuming when you mean that the Carhouse is not done, that you mean they haven't finish tearing down the old Wilson Carhouse. Where did you get the idea that the old Carhouse is going to be torn down? An addition was built do accommodate the new trains.

The new trains are only going to be on the YUS line and the existing T1's will eventually go on the BD line. No all construction done on subways is contracted out, we just do not have the expertise nor the machinery for such a job. The construction of extending one of our Carhouses for the new TR was handed out to a private company.

I have driven all the trains except the G trains as I wasn't yet employed by the TTC. So far I would have to say my fav train were the old Montrealers. With dual controls, those trains rocked. As for the streetcars I would have to say the PPC cars were great to drive also.
