    Vaughan Toronto | Transit City Condos: TC4 & TC5 | 174.34m | 50s | SmartCentres | Diamond Schmitt

They locked in Buca and Balzaks so far, not bad for the area I’d say. Both are users that have only been in urban areas downtown to date. Quite promising..

    Toronto Toronto | QRC West Phase 2 (Queen Richmond Centre West) | 35.96m | 7s | Allied | Sweeny &Co

Typically for "larger" development projects such as this, the CM is hired by the client, Allied, and takes on the project management and "GC" role. Typically Eastern would hold the large contracts with the various subtrades. Also, being the "GC" or CM does not mean theyre contracted on a...

    Toronto Toronto | QRC West Phase 2 (Queen Richmond Centre West) | 35.96m | 7s | Allied | Sweeny &Co

Updated renders for the project pulled from Allied's May 2020 Investor Presentation on their website. What a difference decent renderings can make.

Brad Lamb doing Brad Lamb things! Join their team today, they're exploding in the Toronto Market! Literally.

Cool angle showing the facades being retained with a retention system that effectively has them floating above the excavation below

I'm not saying it has to be an architectural masterpiece, it simply would've been nice to see a little more that's all. All the more reason to program the building with it being at centre ice.

    Toronto Toronto | 540 King West | 50.66m | 15s | Allied | Hariri Pontarini

Agreed, the massing is atypical but from the standpoint of two developers merging sites to gain synergies (ie: share the core), it makes total sense.

    Toronto Toronto | 16 York | 154.83m | 32s | Cadillac Fairview | a—A

The shifted cantilever of the upper portion of the building is just a marvelous piece of architecture. Paired with the perfectly symmetrical box of prime wasted real estate of the downtown core, this project is a real award winner. Only positive thing is the ideal floor plates for office users.

    Toronto Toronto | 540 King West | 50.66m | 15s | Allied | Hariri Pontarini

I'm sure Allied, or any semi-competent developer, would have reached out to try and acquire the site. Sometimes you're stuck with a difficult site and can't do much about it.

    Toronto Toronto | 96 Spadina | 69.5m | 16s | Allied | Sweeny &Co

Cressy seemed to provide quite the commendation for Allied and this project. Refreshing to see, considering they've been battling for zoning for two years..

    Toronto Toronto | Union Park | 303.26m | 58s | Oxford Properties | Pelli Clarke Pelli

Quite ambitious timelines considering they aren’t even in for OPA. Bill 108 to the rescue!

@Northern Light Any reasonable developer with half a brain would approach the TTC to explore such opportunities, we all know how difficult it is to work with them though. Where does the assumption that they did not inform their store operator of the development come from? This is also a silly...
