Interesting. An acquaintance attempted to develop a 23-storey tower next to this site and got tremendous pushback from the city. Curious how this will go down at planning.

This floor will probably take 5-10x longer than your average residential floor, which go up at a rate of one a week, on average.

Is there a proposal next to this building, as well? I can't find anything, but I remember seeing a sign when driving by for another development. I have to say, I quite like the design. This area can use some densification.

An interesting comparison is the very narrow lanes on the gardiner, especially eastbound past Jarvis. There's a natural slowing of traffic there, because the lanes are just barely wider than a car. Yet somehow everyone seems to make it OK. Time to get new firetrucks?

As a Euro-import, I've always found lanes in Canada to be crazy wide. They are much narrower pretty much everywhere outside of North America. There's definitely room to narrow lanes somewhat without compromising safety, especially on nominally 50km/h roads.
