    Toronto Toronto | Ontario Line: Exhibition Station | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx | HDR

Only a year for the station building and that beautiful canopy? Seems ambitious! If they manage to deliver on their renders it’d be nice to see something like this build for the Spadina GO station, just copy and paste for all I care.

With how the rest of this building looks they might as well leave this plastic sign up and call it a day.

Geez just set up a google form that UTers have access to and we’ll do it. City is so broken sometimes.

But why even lay the asphalt at all? Shouldn’t they be able to replace the pavers once they’re done—and if that’s not current SOP isn’t it something they should be doing?

    Toronto Toronto | MRKT | 53.03m | 15s | Tridel | CS&P

Tridel’s probably thinking “We gave you Aqualuna. Now leave us alone and let us get back to mediocrity”.

Is this the redo? I didn’t think the water main replacement project included the redesign.

They also need to proactively predict when there are popular events and set up superstations on the fly. Marathon, hockey game, concert and Budweiser… and this point they should have enough data to make these predictions

There still seems to be scaffolding around the mechanical penthouse, which makes me think something is still coming. Perhaps they’ll go for floating glass panels like HPA’s Shangri-La in the same shot, but I think they’ll wrap it in something similar to King Adelaide Centre’s cladding, both...

    Toronto Bike Share

I honestly never even consider using the dock displays, the best bet is downloading the latest Bike Share app (iOS App Store link) which is miles ahead of the PBSC one. Broken docks are definitely more common now than a few years ago, hopefully this is just growing pains rather than worrying...

Fully agree. The seasonal uplighting they set up during winter was actually very nice! I’d love to see a more permanent maybe toned down a bit version of that year round. They build such a beautiful glass atrium they should show it off.

    Toronto Toronto | KING Toronto | 57.6m | 16s | Westbank | Bjarke Ingels Group

This building is actually a physical manifestation of the parable The Emperor's New Clothes. The naked Danish KING (Toronto).

It would be super wishful thinking if the city timed this water main replacement with the redesign/beautification of Mercer Street. Guessing the reality is they’ll tear it all up, replace the water mains, pave it haphazardly, so they can eventually tear it all up again. Hope I’m wrong

    King Street (Streetcar Transit Priority)

Are the provincial traffic laws written in stone… I don’t get why we don’t make amendments to the law themselves instead of all these half-a*s loopholes that just add confusion.

    Toronto Toronto | BMO Field Renovations | ?m | ?s | MLSE | Gensler

$37 million for temporary seats is kind of wild considering the original field cost $80 million to construct (according to Wikipedia).
