I’m likely out of date then, I recall there being one with Yonge Street access across from the previously-Hendricks-now-Moxies restaurant, one on ground floor by the fountain, and another inside the Indigo.

Curious, is this a 4th Starbucks or a relocation of an existing one?

Makes me wonder how many retailers are kicking themselves for not signing a lease during COVID, I assume the retail makeup would’ve looked very different in another universe

It’s the result of trying to keep the same design language as the original design before it was VE’d. Buildings always look better when they're built as they're designed (even if the initial design isn't a show-stopping stunner) rather than being drastically altered. Architects/developers...

Thanks for the info! Hopped on the Building Permits site myself hoping to get some hints, but only got “food store”

Forgot I took this photo of the, assumed grocer, retail space. Looks like it’s up for lease, guessing the original plans for a grocery store fell through?

Perhaps they meant the high cost of upkeep (and high cost of the valuable land it takes up) relative to the percentage of people it moves in and out of the city compared to other forms of transportation and routes.

I can't put words in their mouths and verify that "they don't care about you" if you don't pay but I can quote their own mission statement to "connect communities". A problem with Toronto transportation is how agencies/departments can be indifferent to other forms of transportation not directly...

Probably giving too much credit to them but Metrolinx, as a government entity that's tasked with transporting people across the province, should definitely care. End of the day the people they serve aren't paying passengers but the residents of Ontario.

Access to the platforms is one thing but pedestrians who want to simply go between King and Queen are now forced to walk an extended U shape, made even longer by only having stairs facing West. Having Abell and Joe Shuster being connected in a straight shot was a nice convenience of the...

Fences are down and sidewalks on West and South side are fully open, except for a bit near the building entrance.

Thought maybe, just maybe, we’d get copper coloured cladding for those angled columns

Love how Brutalist this podium looks.

I was very surprised to see that too, that aroma is often packed. I don’t understand what these landlords think is the endgame

I’m sure in they same way they’ve flattened the crown and removed the curved tower portion, the rounded glass will also be removed soon

Demolition is ongoing, lots of activity today. Guess I’m gonna have a decent view of this one too

Looks like the columns will also be getting some cladding.

Can’t say I’m a huge fan of how they cladded the mechanical floors, but at least they did.

Are there any old renders of what Parade looked like before Concord’s VE?

Would’ve been amazing to have a PATH connection to The Well. Hopefully as Metro Toronto Convention Centre, Union Park, and the parcel on Front and Spadina are developed over the next decades PATH extensions are considered. Would’ve been cool to see Nobu and 55 Mercer connected to Metro Hall...
