The restored buildings look so much better than before. Especially the windows and cornice details. If only they went with slate roof tiles.

Great to hear they will preserve the existing architecture, but it should be the entire facade instead of glass encroaching on a third of it.

I hope they preserve the cantilevered control tower as a reminder. Needs new paint though.

How amazing it would be to have the U of T campus, Queens Park and University Ave connected as one landscape. Would truly make the city world class.

Would be cool to have a ‘reveal’ inside showing the old painted billboard. Maybe behind a glass panel for fire safety.

The tower restoration (and the old storefront nearby) were really nicely done considering how terribly altered they were from their original form.

Variation of scale is good for the urban fabric, height isn’t everything.

Yeah, between the Humber Bay bridge, Garrison crossing bridge and the new Cherry Street bridges, the steel arch with support beams/cables look is getting a bit played out in Toronto.

Looks like red brick after all, seems it wasn’t necessary against the lot line since the rest of the block to the south will likely be demolished and built up eventually.
