Seems like it. I wish/hope they would do all the sidewalks around the building. It's very uneven and lots of trip hazards for a high traffic area.

^i believe its a coffee shop. Same people as Al Centro, Da Capo, etc.

    LRT Safety

For the Canada vs Mexico game at Commonwealth. Waited 30 minutes in line for the single payment machine at bay/enterprise station only to find out they don't accept coins when I got to the machine. Shrugged and jumped on the train without paying.

    LRT Safety

Thanks for the video. The payment system is so archaic, i agree with her statement that nobody carries cash or coins these days. Can't this be resolved by a simple app where users can pay on their phones instead? Even throughout Covid with all other businesses going to a "no cash" payment...

Not sure if Westrich's new development in Kelowna will tie up a bunch of capital to prevent this project from moving ahead. https://westrichbay.com/

    Car-Free Streets

^Is your business a building with 250~ people/cars that use the same alleyway? Apples and oranges my friend.

    Car-Free Streets

For reference, how would a single lane along 102nd ave not help or improve auto accessibility? There is not a lot of room in the alley way. You add a dump truck collecting garbage in the morning, you essentially block off this entire alley. With 102 ave open, at least you can go the other...

    Car-Free Streets

As someone who lives on a condo by 102ave, we need some sort of method to get into the condo parkade. I am afraid that closing 102ave to vehicles will create access issues to those living in Fox, Icon, Century, Encore. The back alley is already a mess as is trying to get vehicles through.

    Downtown Crime

The issue with the beat cops is that they travel in groups, which totally negates how much ground they can cover. Why not have cameras at every intersection DT and have one or two cops monitor and deploy beat cops accordingly. I think this would also do wonders for break/enter, and theft...

    Warehouse District Park

I think a dog park would be nice to drive more foot traffic in this park, maybe on the south west corner? There is always someone using the dog park at Alex Decouteau and goes a long ways in keeping some of the seedy people away.

    Downtown

Why would anyone want to invest and live downtown at it's current state? I am a current downtown resident with 2 condos (one that I am living in and one as a rental property). If I had purchased a house instead of a condo downtown in early 2010's I would have been up ~50k instead of being...

    Warehouse District Park

Who owns the surface parking lots just west of BPs? Would have been nice to incorporate that land into the park as well.

    Downtown Crime

I agree with this statement, 104 Street has always been clean especially if its fronting a business. Kudos to yourself and business owners. Other areas of DT need to follow that example. Especially bad coming out of LRT entrances and properties that aren't associated with a business.

    Downtown Crime

Aside from the crime, the level of garbage on sidewalks and streets is disgusting downtown. How hard would it be to increase garbage pickup frequency for bins? Empty garbage bins means less garbage for people to ruffle through. It's kind of embarrassing for people visiting from out of town or...

    Edmonton | The Mercury Block | 21.7m | 6s

Probably to serve retail around that area. I know Evolve gym next door is struggling with the loss of the surface area parking lot.

Contacted 311 and seems like I wasn't the only one complaining. Problem solved, seems like the shifted that work to the daytime. Looking forward to this project though, should bring some vibrancy to the area once completed and when they find a new tenant.

    Boardwalk-Revillon Revitalization | ?m | 6s | Allied Properties REIT | DIALOG

Longtime lurker here... anyone know who the construction company is doing the renovations? I live across the street and the construction noise is getting a bit ridiculous after 11pm. Has happened the last 3 days after 11pm. Worker is throwing and moving stuff in the metal garbage bin with no...
