Development sign went up over the weekend and just remembered to post these pics. Here's what it looks like

This shot is from Sunday which I'm just remembering to post. Site is completely cleared now, and the demo company spent the better part of the last couple weeks clearing away all the rubble. Last few days hasn't had much of any activity. Wondering when shoring will begin on this one.

Just walked past the site and snapped a few shots of the new development sign. Here are the details. Interchange42, looks like they are listing the properties as 65-77 King, and 40 Colborne.

These are from yesterday and just getting around to posting. They've been chewing away at the building nearly every day, and they're getting close to the south wall now.

Actually this project sits immediately to the south of the townhomes built as part of 83 Redpath, so it doesn't include them in its proposal.

and they recently set up a sales centre in the retail unit at the south east corner of Mount Pleasant and Soudan Av. Not sure if it's open yet but I've walked past it a few times.

hmm, yea you're right now that I'm looking at that pic again, the line doesn't entirely look straight. Might just be the angle I snapped the shot, but maybe someone can get a closer pic of the west side.

Just walked by and more of the x frame is installed now.

They're back at it this afternoon, and looks like this time a workers got a watchful eye on the demolition from the top of the scaffolding.

Yikes! So it was a much more dangerous scenario than I actually imagined!

Not really, just walked down to check it out and nothing's actually collapsed. From the looks of it, they probably tried to take out a chunk of the upper part of the wall and some of it fell on the wrong side, knocking the scaffolding loose. A bit of the wall is still hanging towards the street...

More progress from today. At this rate it might all be down by the end of next week.
