That photo is marked "All Rights Reserved" on Flickr. I'd say reproducing it here, even with the attribution is not permitted under that license. All Rights Reserved You, the copyright holder, reserve all rights provided by copyright law, such as the right to make copies, distribute your...

Super bummed it appears they are blocking off any views of the rail corridor. That'll just make the path feel super enclosed and dark.

Finally some retail moving into the ground floor. Much to the delight of locals, the oft-rumoured LCBO is indeed happening along with a dental office.

That's the same hassle as probably most condos for those who park in the underground parking. Two elevators - one to get from parking to the lobby, one to get from the lobby to your floor. This is not to suggest that everyone comes in this way, especially in downtown condos where residents are...

    Toronto Bike Share

I'll go check out the Open Data and see if that can be gleaned.

    Toronto Bike Share

I'd love to see the data for how many times a rider docks and then immediately undocks another bike. In other words, how many riders are doing >30 minute rides now.

Are those literally drains without downspouts for the balconies above that just dump water onto the operable windows and front door below?

Indeed that was the reason. Now that wading pools and splashpads are open, I hope they get the fountains going. Nathan Phillips Square reflecting pond too, please.

Finally we have some people moved in. Sadly, the never-ending construction continues. Will it ever end?

    Train Spotting

Here's a few shots from June 2003: 2816 pulling a GO Transit consist over the bridge in Leaside. Near Strachan Ave. heading west. Near Strachan Ave. heading west.

    Liberty Village pedestrian link

Story from workers on site is that the opening will be delayed due to delays getting the elevators delivered. The blame is being placed on Covid, but had they designed something that didn't need elevators...

Also with global warming and sea level rise, who is to say what sea level will be in a few years or decades? Seems rather a strange baseline, but I suppose there isn't much else to use?

    Metrolinx: Presto Fare Card

Tested out the new beta on iOS yesterday to see how the NFC card reading works. It's not especially intuitive, but you can swipe to the blank card screen and from there you can Check Balance on any card instantly with NFC. Worked well, from what I could tell. I don't need to add any funds to my...

    Toronto Toronto | Union Station Revitalization | ?m | ?s | City of Toronto | NORR

That video was a Rail Innovations production (I used to do all the VHS dubbing for them in a former life). Likely a copyright violation, and it's not my account, but the entire video "Toronto Union Station Trains and Towers" is on YouTube here: The operation of the interlocking is explained fully.

    VIA Rail

Likely yes. Departs Union on Wednesdays, then heads up and through Richmond Hill.

According to reports, the driver was elderly. I would suggest revocation of the license pending a retest. If you are confused enough to follow a streetcar along tracks, down a tunnel and then all the way to a station, I think it's a fair assessment that you shouldn't be permitted to drive.

TTC: Flexity Streetcars Testing & Delivery (Bombardier)

Dare to dream of a 503 that is a) an actual streetcar and not a bus for half (or more) of the year and b) runs literally from my home to my office. That Bingham to Dufferin route was done as a test or diversion at some point and it was lovely.

GO Transit: Service thread (including extensions)

Finally they are doing something about the Stouffville train that stops at Danforth at 7:28am that is 5-7 minutes late daily. They hold the 7:32 at Scarborough to wait for this train and it makes that one late as well. New in January, the 7:28am Stouffville will no longer stop at Danforth. Bad...

TTC: Flexity Streetcars Testing & Delivery (Bombardier)

Sneaky post a few days back when they showed the front of 4603. That made it look nearly complete. Now we see that there's quite a bit to do still to get this last one out the door.

TTC: Flexity Streetcars Testing & Delivery (Bombardier)

I count four on the way? 4594 is on property since November 29 according to the CTPDB wiki. 4595, 4596, 4597 and 4598 shipped. Given that we've seen a pic of 4603 in what appears to be pretty far along state, it's looking like they will be pretty close to getting them all here by end of the...
