I was on a 9000-series Dufferin 29 bus last week that had no Presto readers at all. No cutouts in the area where they normally would be...no readers to be found. Humorously, the TTC tweeted out that they now had Presto at all subway stations, on all buses and streetcars...then a few hours later...

It's been horrendous for a good couple of years. Now with Gerrard completely hosed by watermain work for the last 9 months too, Kingston Road is a disaster daily. Some day parking enforcement will also get their butts in gear and we won't still have cars parked in the curb lane eastbound at...

4427 was out for testing on Gerrard this evening. Saw it heading up Main St. to the station.

I'll give this a try. My kid needs a student Presto card and the TTC requiring me to go up to Davisville to do that is completely ridiculous.

Looks like some of the black panels either fell from DNA3 or were going to fall. Now they have straps around some of them and caution tape up to keep pedestrians away.

The continuing saga of Victoria Park's Presto gates...the new ones are in, but not yet turned on. You walk through them to get to the collector. The second set of new ones are also now installed and powered up but behind some temp barriers. I guess they are waiting for them all to be done...

A few faded ads on the grass left over from Sunday would still be better than the mess in Montreal with the mispainted lines.

Victoria Park is close. Temp fences are now moved over to where the remaining gates will be installed. You now walk through the new gates to get to the collector booth. Here's hoping we're a day or three away from these ones going live.

That first set is now powered up, still behind the temp barriers. The remaining gates are still sitting in the corner.

Not that easy to see as I didn't have time to walk over and get a better shot outside the fare-paid area, but the gates are in place at Victoria Park today. Not powered up yet, from what I could see. Progress from last week!

Poor Scarborough. Lots of talk about improving things in the east end, but I still can't count on a bus having Presto on 12, 502, 503. Slowly getting there, but I dream of the day I can not have to carry a token just in case. Are we weeks away from that? Seems like maybe yes.

Progress at Victoria Park. The wooden hoardings are down now, and a bunch of new Presto gates have arrived and are ready to be installed into what looks like a completed floor with all the wiring and hardware installed to accept them.

4423 was out running up and down Kingston Road tonight signed Training Car. Nice to see a Flexity on Kingston Road even though it'll be years before 502/503 is converted over. I would guess they were using Kingston Road rather than the usual run out to Neville since they've torn it up down there...

A quick spin through the new site and...I'm impressed. The previous version was a bit of a mess, hiding basic info like your last few trips behind two or three clicks. The new one seems to have been well thought out. Card balance, front and centre, nice and big. The last five or so transactions...

Please don't pave it. That's one of the best parts of that trail. Paving it would result in a change of the perception of that trail and switch it from a recreational trail to a bike road. Big upgrade coming to the Presto website October 7-10. As usual (for Presto, that is), you'll want to load up your card just in case as once they start these upgrades, things like auto-reloads don't process and you can find yourself with an empty card and no way to add funds to it...
