Toronto Parks vs. Montreal Parks - and public use

oh I knew you would comment on that, it is actually my typing ability, or lack of it, not my English.. No I am not talking about all their festivals I am talking about neighbourhood parks. Yes people of Toronto use parks when it is nice out, or programmed well, but they don't...

Toronto Parks vs. Montreal Parks - and public use

Yes it definitely is a generalization but so what... unless a statement is 100% true then it is a generalization and that means there are exceptions to the rule, and rarely is something 100% true but it doesn't mean it is not a valid statement. I guess also what I meant is more about...

I agree and wonder if they could have set the front back from the street or the centre portion, maybe semi circle which would help that a bit, and allow a place for the limo's to go. Can you imagine what King St will be like in front of this place when TIFF is on. Maybe the stars can drive in...

You just made my point! so it must not be popular because only two tables were there on a Thursday. You have a very simplistic mind. Maybe it was so friggin cold out on Thursday most people probably didn't venture out. I wondered what the hell I was doing out. Expand your mind.

It's funny reading comments from people who just have no idea. I was at a popular restaurant in midtown yesterday and there were only two tables (including mine) with people at them at the height of dinner time. With the reasoning of you guys the restaurant is doomed to fail. oh no No...

Yep they can, and they can test the building design at the 'world famous' wind tunnel testing facility at the University of Western Ontario.

Are you talking about those Crsytal blue with those cut out blue things in the wall, I say God nooooo. I think the facade looks with its surrounding but then again I look at the surrounding more due to my urban planning backround.

I thought when it was isolated it was actually a good thing. I remember my first visit before the tall condos, I remarked to a friend that it was like you were in a different city. I was only reminded that I was in Toronto when I stepped out to the main street and saw the skyline that I was...

Well I see the pile driver is on site, so first they drive the piles(steel beams) down around the edge of the site and then as the dig down they fill in between with wood or concrete shoring tied back to rock. Or did you mean hoarding around the site at street level.

Working for an architect I can tell you that the original design and what gets built can be two different things. Owner asking for cost cuts on the original design and owner influence on the design itself can greatly affect the design which would have nothing to do with the design talent of the...

I for one prefer to see the construction of a building. It is almost anti-climatic when finished.
