Actually, you can win. All the answers you proposed involve individual actions by women/people of colour. But that ignores the systemic nature of discrimination. So here's an example of what winning that question might look like: Q: what's the best way for women/people of colour to climb up...

Ha! Saw 2 Ford signs on Davenport yesterday, had a similar reaction. Only 2 Tory signs. Tons of Olivia Chow (I lost count around 15).

Smoking crack in judicial robes??? Or just recognized in court by somebody?

    Rob Ford's Toronto

Uh so much for promising a 44-deep slate of councillors in 2014 to wipe out all the lefties on council! New Ford slogan: Promise made, promise broken.

My mother was one of those women who learned to play golf. It didn't get her ahead in her work, it just got her on the golf course. Her entire career she has watched younger and less capable white men sail past her in salary and opportunity. Want to guess how many times she's been called...

Can you really not figure out why people care about both of those comments?? ETA: (and if you can't, you might want to examine your own privilege)

http://toronto.ctvnews.ca/video?playlistId=1.2046977 It's just getting started. D!onne Renée is in the midst of being removed.

Yes, that's my take too. Attacking the frontrunner usually results in strange bedfellows in any given election campaign, but I have to say this tacit Chow-Ford alliance is particularly...odd. Attacks on Tory without calling each other out actually makes them look bad to their own potential...

True, but promising not to raise taxes above the rate of inflation is the dumbest of all.

Jennifer Pagliaro ‏@jpags 16s16 seconds ago Ford says he has been through minimum thousands of senior residences at TCHC. "Thousands?" moderator asks. "Thousands!" Who is this moderator who seems to actually understand what a moderator's role is? Forcing speakers to stay on topic, questioning...

    Rob Ford's Toronto

Wow, a Toronto reporter just used the word lie in reference to the Fords.
  12. K

    Rob Ford's Toronto

Ah. I was actually thinking it might be the earlier one, given the reference to "access to information". Just assumed it had to be something they've been working a long time. But guess it could be the second.

    Rob Ford's Toronto

Wow. They stopped short of calling him a liar, but I suspect only because they're keeping their powder dry for more increasingly vigorous attacks in the weeks ahead.

    Rob Ford's Toronto

Why do you say that? (Just curious)
  15. K

    Rob Ford's Toronto

Uh. Not exactly. She could have called out Ford while still promising to attend the debate because of the importance of the issue. She didn't, and that's why people are upset. Oh look. John Tory's threat to boycott got Ari Goldkind back in. I'm no fan of JT's, but he's the one who is going...

    Rob Ford's Toronto

Her team is full of idiots. She could have condemned Doug Ford's actions while still promising to show up for the debate because of the importance of the issue. Epic fail.

    Rob Ford's Toronto

Refusing to take a principled stand amounts to backing Ford on this. It's not being spun. Her spokesperson would have known why Ari was uninvited, and expressed zero concern. Instead, sloughed off responsibility on the organizer. That response speaks volumes to progressive voters. Agreed...

Yes. In the Star article. Chow spokesperson Jamey Heath did not comment on Ford’s demands, saying only: “The organizers decide who debates.â€...

    Rob Ford's Toronto

Wow. What is Olivia thinking??? Has she forgotten who her base is? Ari Goldkind's exclusion at the insistence of Doug Ford is anti-democratic. It's an integrity issue. These are things that left-leaning progressives care about. A lot. She's going to get hammered over this. Haven't looked...

To be fair, that's where the MAYOR OF TORONTO got his crack. It sounds shocking, but once you unravel who he knows and how, it all makes sense. Why not the same for others? You never know who knows who and how. We all grew up somewhere.
