    Roads: Ontario/GTA Highways Discussion

Also, the primary route of most people in KW is along 8/85.

    Roads: Ontario/GTA Highways Discussion

The original plan was for Hwy 6 to continue on it's own carriageway so that there was a seamless connection; however, the plan was changed so that there either one or two lanes (I forget the exact configuration) will be continuous for Hwy 6, but that there will otherwise just be a combined 401/6...

    Toronto Toronto | Union Pearson Express | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx | MMM Group Limited

They should consider adding kiosks in the baggage claim area so people can buy a ticket/Presto card/reload their card while waiting for baggage to show up.

    Toronto Pearson International Airport

The thing with preclearance is that people are never going to be transferring from a precleared zone to another part of the airport. The precleared zone is always the final zone before boarding. Similarly, people going to a precleared zone are first going to have to go through preclearance...

Toronto Toronto | GO Transit: Davenport Diamond Grade Separation | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx

That options appears to have much less visual disruption to the community. I do wonder about noise abatement though...

Waterloo Region Transit Developments (ION LRT, new terminal, GRT buses)

I think the testing is supposed to start only on the Spur Line portion of the line north of Erb, which is well on its way to being ready.

Rail: Ontario-Quebec High Speed Rail Study

It is regularly a standstill through Cambridge (currently being expanded) and Milton.

Hwy 7 through Guelph hasn't been downloaded; it's a provincial highway from London to Georgetown.

    Toronto Pearson International Airport

Don't short haul routes tend to take a disproportionate amount of gate space though?

    Toronto Toronto | Union Station Revitalization | ?m | ?s | City of Toronto | NORR

A someone who doesn't use Union that regularly, what's the deal with the missing platforms? As far as I can tell, there's no platform 14 and 15, and none between 18 and 23.

    Mississauga Toronto | Pearson Transit Hub | ?m | ?s | GTAA

If the GTAA is spearheading building a multimodal hub at Pearson, I'm quite sure that means the hub would actually be at Pearson and not somewhere else. Maybe if it were a Metrolinx initiative, but the OP is about the GTAA wanting to turn Pearson into a multimodal hub. With that in mind, I...

Waterloo Region Transit Developments (ION LRT, new terminal, GRT buses)

I think this may be looking south toward Hayward Ave? I have no idea how someone would get there to take a picture though.

Waterloo Region Transit Developments (ION LRT, new terminal, GRT buses)

I kind of like the Hauftbahnhof idea. It wouldn't be the first use of german in local naming, as we do have Hessen Strasse to the northwest of Waterloo. As to it's centrality, if you look at the combined Kitchener and Waterloo urban boundaries, this is about as central to both as you can get...

Waterloo Region Transit Developments (ION LRT, new terminal, GRT buses)

GO and VIA stop at King Street though and run parallel to Victoria. My preference is Waterloo Central Station (followed closely by Kitchener Central). It's somewhat central to the combined cities of Kitchener and Waterloo, but uses the regional name as an identifier to better distinguish it on...

Often people travel for a meeting or something like that and might leave almost immediately afterward.

    Roads: Ontario/GTA Highways Discussion

This report regarding the 401 widening from Hespeler Rd. in Cambridge to Halton sheds some light on the plans for Highway 6. It recommends the trumpet interchange at the Hanlon be replaced (pg. 83) and Hwy 6 run concurrently with Hwy 401 on auxiliary lanes (pg. 55) before they exit at a location...

I regularly use the interchange and that exit and haven't had too much trouble through there, personally. Most people seem pretty good about letting merging traffic in.

High Speed Rail: London - Kitchener-Waterloo - Pearson Airport - Toronto

I personally think a stop at Bramalea would make sense, or otherwise have parking at the Pearson stop. This would make it far more useful for people heading west from Toronto. Regarding satellite offices in Toronto: I may be mistaken but the examples I know of are not development offices but...

TTC: Flexity Streetcars Testing & Delivery (Bombardier)

I have absolutely no idea if this form of QC is normal. That said, the TTC already knows how the model performs and has already bought the vehicles; this is in no way equivalent to someone test driving a car. Who takes a vehicle on a 600km test drive anyway?

    Toronto Pearson International Airport

You can also look at the growth in the use of planes in the 100-seat range or so which have replaced a lot of the regional jets for a number of airlines, most significantly AC.
