The pile drivers they are using are massive. There were two of them on July 27 and 28, but when I took this photo on the 25th, there was only the one.

    Toronto Toronto | 160 Front West | 239.87m | 46s | Cadillac Fairview | AS + GG

I really want to like this building, but there's some things about it which irk me. First, the signage. So ugly and unnecessary. Especially the on the east and west sides. Then the "mouths". They are too slim and should have had different glass, with maybe an outline around the outer glass to...

I had no idea. That would be awesome! Haha. There is just no other cinnamon bun like Cinnabon unfortunately.

Meh. Auntie Anne's is better. I hope they come back to Canada. The almond pretzel they have is so so good.

What I wanna know is where is Cinnabon? They announced they were returning in early 2022, and it's still not here.

    Glass requirements in Toronto highrises

That seems crazy. I really feel like all the glass on building should be tempered.

    Glass requirements in Toronto highrises

Was watching this video about the Millennium Tower in San Francisco. Ya, the one that's leaning. Apparently San Francisco does not require windows above 18 inches from the floor to be tempered, meaning when they shatter, they break into thousands of tiny pieces. They can be just regular glass...

    Mississauga Toronto | Hurontario-Main Line 10 LRT | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx

They could have built a loop still, and had that be it's own line if they wanted to. The bus terminal is just in such an awkward place.

    Mississauga Toronto | Hurontario-Main Line 10 LRT | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx

I honestly think they should have moved the bus terminal to Hurontario and Burnhamthorpe on the NW side, which is a huge parking lot. They would have had to expropriate that land, but whatever. Then keep the Hurontario LRT only on Hurontario, and build a Burnhamthorpe line for people west of...

Downtown Grocery Store List (current + proposed)

So unfortunate. I'm really over Metro and would love to see something else in the area. With all the new people coming in this area over the next couple years, hopefully something comes along.

@Northern Light do you know what happened/is happening with 88 North?

Being someone who lives right next to this, I really hope the retail ends up working out. So far the retail in 88 North still hasn't opened and nothing seems to be coming anytime soon. So, so far it's a disappointment.

Thanks. I've been very curious about this.

@Dustin William is it not illegal to fly a drone above people, or basically almost anywhere in Toronto?

I think it's about time the laws are changed that would require the developer to provide the materials that will be used before approval.

No, some of us are annoyed that we were duped with the renderings showing something very different:

It's "just" outside the boundaries of The Garden District. That ends in the east at Sherbourne, and in the south at Queen.

That timeline is strange, because demolition is done on the above ground portion, and it's not even August 2023 yet. Unless there's something else that's going to be demolished? Here is what it looks like now:
