Recommended for approval? Wow. This is just horrible. Our city planners are garbage and seem to know nothing.

Yes, I think it has a few more floors to go.

I forget who it is, but there was someone who was posting the diagrams and filling in the parts that were built so we could tell which floor they were at. Did they stop posting on UT? I really appreciated those posts!

I disagree. We don't live on anyone's land. Nobody owns land, but if anyone has a right to the land, it's the people who fought and won the land. It is what it is, there's no need to name places the majority of people can not pronounce.

So Yonge St. is being closed so they can lift more of those black hanging protective walls?

It looks like they're about to add the sidewalk.

The prison bars on the balconies are so ugly. I think the vertical banding going down the non balcony sides is okay, but not the balconies. TBH I think the building might have looked much better with none of it at all and just glass. As long as it's dark glass.

Maybe it's time that mockups with materials used have to be provided before approved. I don't know what the cure to this problem is, but it needs to be fixed. I'm tired of seeing awful materials choices on the buildings we have to see every day.

I'll be shocked if they can build that many office buildings here.

Well to be honest, the design is nothing special. It's the materials used that makes this project for the most part.

The panels covering the columns are supposed to be lit up at night, right? I don't see any lighting built in, so I assume it will be added later?

Still waiting for these exhaust vents to show up. Or whatever they are. I think they are so cool.

    Toronto Toronto | 88 Queen | 167.35m | 52s | St Thomas Dev | Hariri Pontarini

I think that maybe as part of the approval process, they should have to have mock panels made before construction that are going to be used on the building. I am so tired of buildings being constructed with materials that are not even close to the renders they provide. I know there's an element...

    Toronto Toronto | 88 Queen | 167.35m | 52s | St Thomas Dev | Hariri Pontarini

Oh no. What the heck are they doing here? That is not at all how the renders look for the tower.

    Toronto St Michael's Hospital Patient Care Tower & Emergency Department | ?m | 17s | St. Michael's | NORR

St. Michael's is just so ugly. That ugly beige siding is horrendous. Someday I hope it's completely covered up or replaced.

Ridiculous that the retail at 88 North is still sitting empty.

What are you even talking about? Howard Johnson's are mostly motels, or buildings no more than like 5-10 storeys tall. The biggest ones are in Asia and they are all newer.

Technically it's Gehry, not BIG. 😂
