    TTC: Other Items (catch all)

I believe the bus pole for the 30 "Lambton" is still there at Dundas/Kipling southwest corner. It came as part of the 6 point intersection installation even though the 30 has become 40A and rerouted to turn at Kipling thus no daytime TTC route ever serves that stop.

Seriously 18.3km/h is very slow and a complete waste of money. If the LRVs streetcars are going to craw through every intersection, they should have just built bus lanes with transit priority.

Half the world still thinks a couple of subways in Scarbrough is better than a network of LRTs. Let's get to (emptiness) Kennedy Station faster. Then again majority of the people are braindead or they would have been innovative millionaires.

Since they are buying that whole parcel of land, something is more lively to happen. The original comment is cut-and-cover to bring the OL tunnel much shallower to Line 2. They won't need as much land, just a strip. As you can see in that picture. The parking lots across the picture (very top...

Except this isn't right beside Pape but 50m east of the street. They did this for the Yonge line between Bloor and College and today it remains mostly parks and parking lots. Bloor-Danforth is mostly parking lots. This so called dense housing won't happen unless the flatten the whole neighbourhood.

Yonge and Eglinton is a complete zoo while they try to restore the roadway. Traffic is sharing a single lane both directions with a signal person just east of Yonge.

They have to match the TBM tunnel depth or they'll have to buy a whole strip of land both south and north of the station to demolish homes and do some cut and cover. That's definitely a no go these days.

I bet they would wall it off with plexiglass if violence gets worst in the subway or if an employee gets attacked more often.

Yonge and Eglinton was still a huge mess on Monday. The sides of the roadway and bike lane were still a foot deep. Let's see if it actually open up on Friday.

We will see how well this "Transit City" lead development would goes. The target (back in 2008) is midrise blocks along the whole corridor oppose to high rise development at stations only.

If they want people to slow down, time the lights to sync to a certain speed. Instead they try to piss everyone off which leads to more speeding to try to make those lights.

    TTC: Other Items (catch all)

I'm not exactly sure the 65 is experiencing heavy loading cause TTC didn't scheduled enough buses or because of congestion. Both the 65 and 75 get stuck in traffic towards the south end which leads to very uneven headways which is why one would often see heavy loading. The 121 does not suffer...

    TTC: Other Items (catch all)

You are just bashing the TTC and this fact with no historical background. The table doesn't mention it is a comparison between two different routes, the 121 Fort York-Esplanade vs. the current 121 Esplanade-River. The former route just gets stuck at Union Station and by 2020 it reach a badly...

Doesn't matter, even with exclusive rails like line 2, they still manage to create a long backlog at the terminals.

    TTC: Other Items (catch all)

I drove passed by the area a few minutes after the accident. The 73B bus making a right being in that location gave it a way that she was smack pretty hard by the bus. Just say someone laying face down motionless right at the corner by the green fence. It's quite hard to see with at the corner...

It is cause the lines didn't open, they got the money to improve service. Let's hope next year's budget is better

Especially when it’s a crappy presentation. Other parts of the world would at least sweep all the rocks and dirt from the side of the path. Some colours would be a nice touch.

    Roads: Ontario/GTA Highways Discussion

I guess it is much easier with GPS these days. Reading it from a provincial map back in the 80s wouldn't be as easy. Destinations were designed for navigation till Mike Harris destroyed the system.

Except by removing the 115 designation, it makes it more difficult to navigate. You'll see 35 on the map and 407 connecting to it. You'll tell them to stay on the 35 so it becomes the 407 eastbound. With the 115 designation, you simply tell anyone to follow 115 from the 401 to Peterborough.

Whenever they aim for a certain year, they always seem to aim for December 31st of that year.
