Proposed changes here: Leaside Bridge to Danforth Avenue Cycling Connections

You are mistaken, these residences will be a 500-700m walk from Corktown station. Of course, this will deprioritize the WELRT even further 🙄

In the overhead shot east is the top of the photo. Far right shows Lake Shore Blvd. Far left shows only two rail tracks, which is the configuration at the moment during construction on the corridor widening.

University Avenue (History and Future Redesign)

Rode the new southbound cycle track on Saturday evening and I have some stills to share from riding footage. Few notes: The track is still blocked off from College to Dundas as it needs about an inch of asphalt on top Drainage issues seen below should be mostly resolved by top coat Dundas to...

Yes we are, my response is to a discussion about the poor street level experience.

The stabby vibes at Yonge and Bloor are from blistering winter winds to the face. I recall the wind study for The One modelling 0.1% conditions (meaning rare but not unrealistic) where pedestrians could face 80km/h winds on the south east street corner. Shout out to our dedicated photographers...

    GO Transit Electrification | Metrolinx

It’s interesting you put owns in quotations, I too don’t really understand the ownership. I do know that in many disputes the federal body trumps the provincial and municipals. For example, the CN railyard in Milton being objected by the municipality but moving forward anyway. I wouldn’t be...

    Finch West Line 6 LRT

That concourse photo looks stunning, you could easily convince me that is a rendering. At a glance, every photo impresses and gives me hope for our other new projects coming down the pipeline!

Publicly available documents would indicate 6 escalators between street and platform. Here's hoping they have little downtime.

GO Transit: Construction Projects (Metrolinx, various)

It’s the little details from ML that anger me most. They could have chosen any image of the station but they decided to copy & paste a highly technical one with no legend or description. With so little information about the station improvements and the oil pipeline highlighted in the image...

    Toronto Toronto | Union Station Revitalization | ?m | ?s | City of Toronto | NORR

Can I get a review relative to other good sub sandwiches like Firehouse? Looks like lower level between Bay and York concourse, someone else can probably confirm.

Roads: Gardiner Expressway catch-all, incl. Hybrid Design (2015-onwards)

Retrofitting anything under here would be unnecessarily expensive when there is so much underutilized space on the south side (eg. every surface parking lot in Exhibition). Adding more north/south pedestrian access is tricky considering you’ll need to go over or under the rail corridor in...

Couple shots from yesterday and today. @ProjectEnd informed me this is being used to remove the crane up on the roof. Yesterday: Single lane closure on Adelaide last night to get things assembled then this today:

Big machine being erected here, not sure what it is exactly. EDIT: redacted, photos moved to EQ bank thread in this post

Danforth Line 2 Scarborough Subway Extension

Referencing a Toronto soil map, I noticed that the investigation is being performed near the border of two distinct soil deposits. The hashed area denotes "Peel ponds; shallow-water deposits: sand" while the green area denotes "Young tills: clayey silt till and sandy silt till." I know little...

    TTC: Other Items (catch all)

There’s also an unused shoulder lane both directions. Easy win for bus priority!

    Cycling infrastructure (Separated bike lanes)

I have seen work in bits and pieces. I haven’t travelled the whole length of the park in a while but I’ve never noticed more than a few guys working on it. Anyone know if this work is keeping up with its schedule? Is the raised cycle track really expected in September?
