That is true. I wonder if, like the one, they will build a temp staging platform after they finish excavation.

It looks like the 31st floor has been prepared and it will likely get poured Monday.

As can be seen from the photos above, cladding work can’t continue till the construction of the protective/work platform is done. This requires street closures and other logistical issues that have to be scheduled. See the post #14799 for dates when the will likely do this.

Yes but by comparing the pics by @Red Mars and @j_yyz above you can see noticeable progress and so either they are not complying with the stop order or they have obtained their permits.

From today. It is getting to the fun/serious part of constructing this thing. With large sites, it would take ~ 4 months to excavate 4 levels so we will see how fast this progresses given the small lot and tight location they have to work with. In any event, we should see a crane popping up...

Once interest rates come down enough, I wouldn’t be surprised if Oxford’s SQ1 District or Exchange South try to outdo M3.

I think it will be the 3rd tallest. M4 is only 216m while the tallest Exchange tower will be 232m.

Making their presence felt already with more than a dozen more towers planned for the area.

I think they are pouring the base for a crane(s). But not sure they are using the most efficient method - pouring concrete into buckets ( including an excavator’s) then driving them down the pit. I imagine the cement trucks may not be able to climb the steep ramp.

This one should have only 4 underground levels whereas the second/taller tower has 6.

I am not sure how many underground levels the previous building had but they only excavated/removed what looked like 1 level as can be seen in this photo by @jer1961

    More equipment on site?

The podium crane has been removed. Very soon this will start moving up at pace of 1 floor/week. Accounting for holidays and weather delays, the remaining 70 floors would take 18 months and thus it should top out by end of 2024.

They have finished 29 floors and are currently setting up forms for the 30th floor.
