Well, mediocre here will likely cut it, because mediocre will likely get built. Whether or not it "should" is a different discussion - but considering how much people get worked up about the DRP, I suspect that no building design would make folks universally happy.

It is bananas to me how hokey-pokey the separation between the houses and the tracks are here. Standards for safety used to be so much different than they are now!

Mixed feelings about the loss of this building! I had a few close friends live in it, so I've spent a lot of time inside. But oh god was it a terrible space in many respects. No real washrooms in the units, poor sound and heat insulation, vermin, etc, etc. Also, the exterior is hideous. But...

It's quite sad that the promenade trees are not doing well. As Northern Light points out, they really should have used a variety of trees to help avoid a problem like this. And yes, there are a quite a few that need to be just cut down. I do wonder if it has something to do with lake water...
