GO Transit: Service thread (including extensions)

I know they can't hold a press conference or anything, but it's still the incumbent government giving something new of value to the electorate and that could influence voting. Stouffville riders are back to some standing-room only buses on the weekends again, so I think they will need to add...

GO Transit: Service thread (including extensions)

Increasing GO service during an election should not be allowed. That being said, I hope this means Stouffville will finally get weekend trains again.

Amazing that there is so much development in the GTA that a three-tower project gets missed. :p

GO Transit: Construction Projects (Metrolinx, various)

The new Stouffville Line stations are looking very sharp! It's been a long wait (still no weekend trains!) but at least the end results are impressive.

Whoever came up with the balcony design did a great job. The renderings don't do it justice.

Yeah, let's not tarnish Rosario Varacalli's good name by comparing this to Jack Diamond's residential work.

I like the columns. It should have a nice effect.

    Toronto Toronto | 2 Carlton | 251.1m | 73s | Northam | Arcadis

This is one of the grimiest corners in the city, so I can't imagine many wanting to spend any time here but some greenery wouldn't hurt.

"Of this, $2 billion is for bus rapid transit [BRT] projects on Highway 7, Yonge Street and Davis Drive, in Markham, Richmond Hill, Vaughan and Newmarket. BRT costs include road widening for rapidways, vivastations along each corridor, and new facilities, terminals, and vehicles." I mean, it's...

As a long-time Markham taxpayer, no one should be complaining about density along the very expensive transitway we built on Highway 7. I'll try and find the document, but I think part of the yellow-belt to the north is slated for redevelopment per the MTSA for VIVA.

    Toronto Toronto | 245 Yorkland Boulevard | ?m | 45s | Northam | Arcadis

I hope there are no balconies on these buildings as that's the key chokepoint on the DVP/404 and the air cannot be good.

    Toronto Toronto | Hudson's Bay Centre Renovations | 32.87m | 6s | Brookfield | Adamson

I'll guess partial reconstruction with a new 200M+ tower somewhere.

    Burlington Toronto | Oval Court | 104.5m | 30s | Branthaven Homes | Core Architects

GO expansion and electrification are really doing wonders for intensification in the 905.

Nice first post! I was wondering when this might start.

15,000 people in one development is still mind boggling. It's like adding a Kenora or a Bracebridge.
