Wow, that is a terrible podium. Should be out in a suburb someplace more suited to people who like to drive everywhere. I assume some architect is patting themselves on the back for coming up with a design that looks quite nice as a stand-alone building in renders ... but they forgot that it...

Agreed. Not great but not the worst either.

Well that'd be a huge improvement if they do it ...

Great building, but that splash of red will be missed.

I'm only going by comments I saw in the Union Station thread a while back, but yes, my understanding is that the green portion of the roof was cut. God I'd love to be told that I'm wrong about that as I cannot understand how they can leave it as is ... but that is my understanding.

I mostly like it, just not sure about how the original building meets the new base. Love the old building - love the tower - just need to ensure the base meets the tower correctly and that reasonable materials are used.

Looks pretty good to me. Yes, I get that we are starved for projects with more color and organic feeling material, but that does not mean this is a bad design.

Boy I'd love to see that Union Station shed roof get finished better than it is.

This is a really odd project in photos. It does not show well at all in images, but looks solid in person.

Finishing touches on this building have been taking forever, as has the sidewalk repair. No idea why these smaller developments in the Beach always seem to move at such a slow pace. Feels like they move at half the pace ... if that, to most other city projects.

I agree. It feels nicely worked into the scheme of the area. I'm also not quite as cynical as ADRM with regard to what to expect from it. There are several other little roads along the waterfront very similar to it, with no such issues.

Lol ... I'm trying to imagine how that final scene unfolded with Frank's hand behind Barbara, but not actually touching her.

    Toronto Toronto | 88 Queen | 167.35m | 52s | St Thomas Dev | Hariri Pontarini

Man, I am loving this project right now. Love the design and especially the way it integrates into a real community at the base.

Agreed. It's the mounting bracket + the color they chose which blends into the glass. It's SO muted, I wonder if they'll paint it.

As much as those towers make me angry to look at, the crowns are providing a bit of unexpected relief.

    Toronto Valhalla Village | 123m | 38s | KingSett Capital | Zeidler

I think this would fit the area well.

    Toronto Toronto | 330 Richmond | 93.57m | 27s | Greenpark | Core Architects

Agreed ... the word 'slab' just keeps popping into mind.

Ouch! What just happened in that last picture with those balconies?
