Travis Dhanraj seems to have left CBC. His evening show on News Network no longer mentions him. Too bad, hope he is ok

AFIK, the properties along Unwin are not serviced with water or sewage and that is an obvious precondition and adding a lift bridge over the Ship Channel is not going to be cheap. Even if I were much younger, I doubt I would ever see this happening!

MODS. This project is NOT on the map.

Of course, if things were done properly, the cost of the Traffic Agents would be removed from the Police budget since the City has to hire them (and it's a great idea) because the police refuse to enforce traffic rules. Not surprised to see Bradford is whining again, he really has become a...

    PM Justin Trudeau's Canada

I doubt anybody except his family have ever heard of this guy! https://www.thestar.com/politics/federal/backbench-ottawa-mp-chandra-arya-to-run-for-liberal-leadership/article_87632f3d-18d9-5be6-9f9a-ca0ad402d74a.html

I suspect most here are owner occupiers. It is the tiny one-bedroom units that are bought by investors to rent to students.

Yes, fwiw. Of course the tent is coming down 'one day' as the site will either be used for a new District Library or a new Library plus housing or for housing. Though the Farmers will, eventually (maybe March), move to the new North Market, I understand the tent will remain until the site is...

A further City report on OP https://www.toronto.ca/legdocs/mmis/2025/te/bgrd/backgroundfile-251931.pdf At its meeting of December 4, 2024, Toronto and East York Community Council deferred consideration of item TE18.24 and directed the General Manager, Services to report to the January 14, 2025...

Former President Donald Trump's United States of America

The rationale of having a three-country (US, CAN, Mex) treaty was to avoid Canada being overwhelmed by the US if it were only the 2 of us. This continues to have validity, though when dealing with a bully who has no 'safety protocols' almost any treaty with him or his country will be...

If you really want to know you could check the City Building Permit site yourself to see if the Permit Status has changed. (As I just did, I can report the main permit is unchanged as "Agreement in Process, the Drain and Site service says "Issuance Pending" which is, I think, unchanged too.)

    St Lawrence Market

It is popular with Market merchants and some customers as its closer than the Green P but the whole idea is for a FULLY PEDESTRANISED street 365 days a year. If it is always no cars it can get better 'street furniture'

TWO new restaurants coming on WELLINGTON @ Berczy Park. This one - it was going to be Char pre-covid - and the one next door "Grandma Loves You" (coffee, snacks, breakfast)

    PM Justin Trudeau's Canada

There are several possible improvements in voting - some are, of course, 'better ' for some groups (at least today) but none of them had anything near consensus. Change will only come if we have a PM who really expends political capital to find a consensus and if all parties work hard to...

    Mayor Olivia Chow's Toronto

Chris Moise has just put out his January Newsletter. He reports on encampments: "One persistent file I know I will continue spending time on in 2025 is encampments, which was in the news once again at the end of last year. On December 5, Premier Doug Ford sent a letter responding to a number...
