It needs a reskin, badly. I'm okay with the form now, but that paneling is what's holding it back in my opinion.

I used to work at Weber Motors once upon a time and always thought it was a unique design to have a car dealership in the podium of an office tower. I do quite like the colour choice for the redesign!

Previous podium was way better in my opinion. But it seems to be mandatory to add the "Edmonton Spec" brick so I can understand why they had to make the updates.

Didn't Gene Dub do the original design on the UCAMA? I seem to remember it being on his website and now it's gone.

10-12 years ago Edmonton dreamed of spandrel, we'd had enough of stucco. It feels like we're in a bit of a privileged position now to be over spandrel.

I wonder what the hold up is on the podium? I've been interested to see the materials they use compared to the renders for a while now.

I've got to say though, do we really have to contextualize with adjacent residential buildings? Especially THOSE residential buildings? There's nothing wrong in my mind with making a stand out design that's unique to the area, that can still respect its surroundings.

I agree, would rather delay the plan instead of "value engineering" it. We've all seen what happens here when we do that.
