    King Street (Streetcar Transit Priority)

The same thing is happening at the Jarvis and Church intersections. I think the LED signs aren't visible enough in direct sunlight, and they're probably too far away from the actual signals to be noticed by drivers (I'm being generous here).

    Toronto Toronto | 351 Queen East | 96.55m | 28s | ONE Properties | Kirkor Architects

The parkette should be moved to the corner of Queen & Parliament in order to cushion vehicular impact. Both buildings on either side of Parliament have been struck by errant drivers in recent years.

    St Lawrence Market

Things have actually improved since you previously brought this up: The former Mordern Weave space is being renovated for a new tenant. Indian Butter Chicken Roti just opened a new location at King & Frederick, across from George Brown. The Copetin/Origin restaurant at King & Church was a...

There are literally stalagmites of bird poop on the sidewalk there.

^^ I had the exact same thought, but I don’t think this jives with the HTA.

    King Street (Streetcar Transit Priority)

I vaguely recall these big bright LED supplementary directional signal boxes (as in the pic above) installed at Yonge & King a year or two ago. Does anyone remember what happened to those?

I just learned that Enterprise Rent-a-Car at 32 Eastern Avenue (the SE portion of this parcel at Eastern & Sackville) has relocated to 65 Regent Park Blvd (One Park Place).

    Restaurant Comings & Goings

The Lavazza-branded cafe in the King Edward Hotel has closed. If you were curious about what the coffee scene was like in 2002 or so, you just lost your chance.

Toronto Toronto | Scotiabank North Tower at Bay Adelaide Centre | 140.2m | 32s | Brookfield | KPMB

That plaza gets really busy in the spring, summer and fall in the absence of the food concourse. Brookfield makes good use of the space with a rotating selection of food trucks and markets, which gives it a strong sense of place. The Richmond-Adelaide plaza is underutilized, by comparison...

If you're really interested in following along, it started around page 5 of this thread, when the original renderings splashed down, and it just got worse from there.

Hate to bump this awful project, but I wanted to point out that they haven't been clearing snow off of any of the sidewalks, in another show of how little they care for the neighbourhood.

Another new one in Leslieville: Avling Brewery & Restaurant will be opening soon near Queen & Pape. https://www.avling.ca/ https://www.instagram.com/avlingto/ Probably the best news about this: Suzanne Barr (RIP Saturday Dinette) will be the chef.

Toronto Toronto | Jack Layton Ferry Terminal and Harbour Square Park | ?m | ?s | Waterfront Toronto

"Renaming the Toronto Island Ferry Terminal in memory of Jack is a fitting tribute. Not only did he represent waterfront communities during his career as an elected representative, but he was also a great supporter of the Island Public School and helped save Island residents’ homes," -Rob Ford

    St Lawrence Market

The Modern Weave showroom closed about a year ago. It's a large, expensive space. The new Globe & Mail building still has a few storefronts waiting to be leased as well
