I passed by the site a couple of days ago and there was no activity, but I wouldn’t be surprised if it sat idle for long. With the DP approved it’s just a matter of when.

This is shaping up to be pretty damn good.

Lots of potential. I'd like to see a half dozen more of these kinds of developments built on Edmonton Trail, or Centre street for that matter.

Yep, and no he's definitely not any kind of version of Jane Jacobs. I agree with you, he's more of a booster type, and my hat's off to him for loving the city, but like you I rarely agree with anything he says, and most of the time find his articles annoying to be honest.

6 if you include the black on the eaves. Truthfully though, I don't find it too busy More colors than the Torode building in Inglewood, but this looks less busy. The white, light gray and gray sorta look the same is probably why.

    Covid-19

I went pas there on the weekend and it was buzzing. There were some guys playing music at the gazebo, and tons of people everywhere. Thankfully there weren't any anti-masker/anti-vaxxers around. I can't stand those retards.

Bridgeland has amazing potential. It's already a great neighborhood, but if they can ever get the north side of 1st ave developed, look out.

Cool video. You should try and get Mckimmie tower and the Cancer centre also. I’d like to see what the atrium at the Cancer Centre looks like from above.

I think the building’s general design and articulation is okay. It it really could use a restaurant and patio as mentioned, but at the same time it’s easily doable if it comes down to it in the future. Renovating entrance windows and doors is fairly minor. Thoughts on Eau Claire are dead on...

The bright white building surrounded by dirt and cement reminds me of the middle east.

I don't know if snobbery is the right word, but much like any forum, there is always a bit of group think. I agree with you that not everything has to be perfect, bit at the same time sometimes you see a project and wonder what the architect was thinking. For me personally the towers are fine...

I don't think this one is terrible, but it could easily be improved. Here what I would have done. - Use brick instead of red stucco, and make the windows a bit larger.. Another option - Remove the beige cornices, go with white for the lower and use the same kind of larger windows that are used...
