    Calgary | 11th + 11th | 138.07m | 44s | Intergulf | Ramsay Worden

Someone needs to take the leadership team of Cidex on a brief tour of downtown. Stop at Telus Sky, 505 5th, The dorian, 11 + 11... Then go the WVT and ask them why...

    Calgary | The Dorian | 98.45m | 27s | PBA Land Development | Gibbs Gage

I am also jazzed about this glass, remember thinking when the rendering came out that it would be difficult to pull off but it looks excellent so far.

    Covid-19

Influx of new members sometimes brings interesting characters. Some lack any sense or wits, too. Covid-Karen: I hadn't heard that one before. Is that something a Covidiot made up to make themselves feel better? Are you that moron that was painted like Braveheart at the Whistle Stop protest of...

I am interested to see if they will follow the render for the crown directly or slightly adjust. There is potential for a bit taller of a spire on the one side, and IMO it would look hella classy with this build.

    Covid-19

https://calgaryherald.com/news/local-news/calgary-wastewater-samples-show-recent-spike-in-coronavirus Very regrettably I would bet on things getting worse before they get better.

UW is totally right, such small design changes would make such an enormous difference. I can't believe it's all just Value engineering.

IIRC the landlord is related to the lash lady you've been feuding with, no? Sucks that this is the situation that materialized. I hope you are able to find a suitable space!

I love this tower. Might just be because of how much I hate how WV turned out after loving the render, but this one just blows it to smithereens

Thats why the water cooler exists!

    Calgary & Alberta Economy

*cries* Though it would be nice if we would do something like investing in nuclear energy (+ therefore nuclear science, opening potential areas for research and expansion in the future). Alas.

If only eh- it would be just amazing if that cat had never been let out of the bag. We would have like 8 more keystone XLs lol.

I want 8 more of these spread out through downtown lol

The form/ shape of the towers is fine, it's all the details that they messed up. Weird random colored panels on the top, giant 2 story mechanical louvre visible from space, lack of advertised glass on top. I would have also preferred a slight height difference between the two instead of two...

    General Construction Updates

Quick conceptual drawing of the above lol. You could even put a bigger one in the middle of Prince's Island and in the park on 17th as sort of terminus points lol. Anyways, enough random musing for me this morning.

    General Construction Updates

If you were to do placemaking with them, I think it would be best to make a trail of them (one at every intersection as you said) that runs N/S through downtown and connects 17th, Stephen Ave, through CBD to China town or to Eau Claire, then to the riverwalk. That way there's a lit/ fun...

    Calgary & Alberta Economy

Ryan Jespersen had the former CEO of Husky on his show yesterday, where he admitted that large scale pipeline projects make very little sense today. If the oil companies have known this for so long, why is our bumbling leader sinking all of our public funds into these projects? Is he being...

    Calgary & Alberta Economy

Got to love someone coming in here and making baseless assumptions while being completely unwilling to logically defend them. This place is extremely reasonable, but you have to be willing to defend a stance. That stance is actually defensible with some effort IMO, but the truth is that Biden...
