    Cycling infrastructure (Separated bike lanes)

Ok..... that's it. I'm sicking @TwinHuey on the Cliffcrest Scarborough Village SW Residents Association! I'm going to post their submission on the Kingston Road improvements. https://www.toronto.ca/legdocs/mmis/2025/ie/comm/communicationfile-199440.pdf From the above:

    Cycling infrastructure (Separated bike lanes)

This took a bit longer than it should have......but there's a new voice on Bsky that will let you get a tiny bit of the news and information I and @TwoWheelPoli share .....maybe 40 seconds faster, if you're quick. https://bsky.app/profile/cyclingpedestrian.cityof.toronto.ca

Alto - High Speed Rail (Toronto-Quebec City)

Correct, every modeled version to date shows the service using CPKC to exit Toronto.

    Toronto Toronto | Kennedy Green Co-Ops | 134.5m | 40s | CreateTO | Henriquez Partners

All the permits that should be in process here are..... save and except 1. There is no demolition permit pending for the existing building.

Alto - High Speed Rail (Toronto-Quebec City)

For those suggesting no downtown stop, for Alto, that's not on. (or at least no one I talk to is taking the idea seriously). (at Union remains the most desirable spot by far, but other options can't be ruled out entirely) For those suggesting only a downtown stop, that's also a 'No'...

Spaces (former WE Charity HQs, 345 Queen St E, TriAxis, 3s, Kohn Partnership)

Completely and utterly disagree with this unfair slagging of Library and misrepresentation of the facts. The site beside SLM was not ideal. It had long been contemplated as a park/public square........but the provincial decision regarding the Ontario Line took that first choice site off the...

    Minor tweak for ya. ;)

    Toronto Toronto | 11 YV | 221.91m | 66s | Metropia | Sweeny &Co

Appearances are invariably a subjective thing I just reviewed the last several pages to see people's takes and I would call the reviews 'mixed bag'. A few liking it, a few less so..... a lot of 'could be better, could be worse'. I feel like I'm in that last cam. It does not live up the...

Alto - High Speed Rail (Toronto-Quebec City)

Its worthwhile to link to Reece's work..........but I can't say I agree with him. i would go into that, but I'm not sure that there's great value in that as I've expressed my opinion on this issue previously. Suffice to say, I don't this his assessment here is accurate.

The floor plate is already at 825m2 for most tower levels, the City would be keen to grow that. As for the south, that block is already planned out by another applicant and not massed in a way conducive to that approach...

They don't do housing at all. That's the thing, where they have been partnered, it wasn't their choice, and it wasn't their project. The Dawes site dates back to the East York Library Board.

Alto - High Speed Rail (Toronto-Quebec City)

MacKinnon picked up that portfolio in Mid September after the Freeland resignation. That's not new in this shuffle.

Because in order to support a tower, you require massive structural supports that would need to be built through the existing historical fabric of the building, greatly diminishing that space. Moreover, residents of any tower over the top need elevators and stairs, in far greater capacity than...

    RapidTO: Master Thread

There was no harshness. There wasn't a mean word said. Don't know what gave you that impression. This statement: Is a hypothesis. It posits an answer to your initial query. The cars/drivers (likely) did this. That's a statement.

    RapidTO: Master Thread

While we don't yet have empirical data for this specific project set, your hypothesis is unlikely and inconsistent with past major street parking reductions. In general, you get a modest decline in demand, most cars parked on main streets are not local residents, they are business owners and...

    Toronto Bike Share

Ok, we need not to sidetrack this thread further; but I did already answer that, you get a fundraiser and campaign manager, they find the money. You show up and shake hands.

I enjoyed that last bit; made me picture a 106th floor McDs with the after clubbing kids at 3am on a Friday as patrons.....
