The streetscape is being completely rebuilt with the LRT project. I think more could've been done to separate pedestrians from the cars personally, but the new wider sidewalks are a SIGNIFICANT improvement over the pedestrian hellscape it was before lmao.

I would love to see Unity Square completely redeveloped, and I honestly wouldn't be surprised if we see something in the pipeline once VLW opens. Having mid-rise mixed-use fronting 104th and then having some family-oriented townhomes, standalone commercial and parks/courtyards would be amazing...

Another empty lot bites the dust, and I love seeing more townhomes in the core 😁 With that said, if they turned even half of that parking lot into a nice landscaped courtyard it would make this project 3x better.

Doesn't have be curtain wall, just have nice large windows and the design is elevated by 2x. Black window trim is the nicest too but just my opinion 😉

That may be a longer term project, as I'm pretty sure the East-West BRT will initially use 114th Street, Belgravia Road and Fox Drive on the South Side. Hope they build a new bridge sooner rather than later though!

The two cities used to be similar once upon a time, but it's obvious that Calgary is in another class than Edmonton in terms of significance and investment. There's things this city...
