Other than central locations, bike lanes have largely been a failure. It's more than fair that neighborhoods outside the core are not wanting them in their neighborhood at the expense of their current transportation network.

Would be nice to see it torn down and housing be built in it's place. Would be prime real estate to raise some significant property taxes.

There's very little demand for it in the suburbs. Would have low users and wouldn't be an efficient use of public funds.

I feel like the people who advocate for hundreds of millions of dollars in bike lanes that are barely used, and only in the best of weather conditions are the trolls.

Hopefully with a new council being voted in, most new funding of bike paths will be stopped, and removal of bike lanes that have low use and have taken away from parking and additional lanes for traffic. The sad part will be the the costs incurred constructing a lot of these paths that continue...

I personally hate these sidewalks, they look good for a couple years, then are maintained poorly and look worse than regular concrete sidewalks. I really wish city would save the money and not bother with these.
