In my opinion, the 14th Ave at-grade crossing and sharp turn is the only blemish on an otherwise perfect LRT line. The rest of the NW Red line is grade separated or has low traffic at-grade crossings.

I don't think a BRT transitway is the right system for the SE and NC corridor. 1. Operation costs are high for BRT as you have to run lots of buses frequently to achieve decent ridership (Paying operators is expensive for a transit system). This means you can't provide as much service as a rail...

Then we have a train from 4th street to Shepard. And then when more funding is available, the line can be extended 1.5km to 7th Ave. City building never stops. But we need to get the ball rolling on the project now.

The CAF Urbos 100's have been ordered and are arriving in 2027. Shovels need to go into the ground in 2025 and this thing needs to be built from at least Shepard to 4th Street.

I like the proposal! The only thing I would keep the same is the stations on 33ave. The intersection surprisingly doesn't delay buses that much as there are bus-only queue jump lanes with signal priority. Although, the MAX "station" on the west side of Crowchild is only a sign and a bench.

I think it's great! A family with 1-2 kids is more likely to move to Townhouse than an apartment. 99% of apartments have the same 1 and 2 bedroom floor plates.
