Toronto Ontario Line 3 | Metrolinx

TBM travelling speed is scheduled at 17-20m per day.

It's Corktown, not Moss Park, a typo from me.

Toronto Ontario Line 3 | Metrolinx

Pretty typical for any type of consultancy quotation, the formula goes like this: (Number of changed drawings x billable hours per drawing) x (Jr Drafter rate + Sr Drafter rate + Engineer/Architect rate + Lead Engineer/Architect rate + Project Coordinator rate + Project Manager rate + Director...

On another note, TBM launch date is April 23rd.

Price tag for the name change: - Corktown: $200,000 - Queen Spadina + King Bathurst: $170,000 - Riverside-Leslieville: unknown - Other stations (indirect impact): $60,000 Please don't ask why the numbers don't add up. They are from each station designer's quotation.

    GO Transit Electrification | Metrolinx

From a project management point of view, this means the System & Intergration contractor is involved and their design has evolved to the point where 3D model is provided for coordination. Architectural designer can not add OCS to renders out of thin air. Doesn't tell much about timeline but also...

Cycling: West Toronto Railpath (City of Toronto, Phase II Proposed)

I think you are right. Found the same design for the pier of the pedestrian bridge at Bloor as part of the Barrie line MUP. I believe this is the Construction Notice for that pier next to No Frills, predate the one I posted above.

Cycling: West Toronto Railpath (City of Toronto, Phase II Proposed)

Also found this Construction Notice, looks like the Rail Path Extension is really coming this time. https://assets.metrolinx.com/image/upload/v1775136253/Images/Metrolinx/Toronto West/Barrie_Rail_Corridor_Improvements_April_17.pdf

Cycling: West Toronto Railpath (City of Toronto, Phase II Proposed)

The location of the first pier doesn't line up with the bridge drawing.

The bridge looks nice. It serves its intended design purpose. The roadway underneath it was only closed for one Saturday during construction. I don't understand what triggered the anger that last 2 pages ?

    Toronto Toronto | Ontario Line: King West Station | 10m | 1s | Metrolinx | HDR

The RFQ is from the contractor, not Metrolinx. Believe it or not there is no expertise in North America for this, and yes it has to be custom built. Each supplier even has different design. 2 Italian suppliers with manufacturing facilities in Indonesia and India, 1 Spanish supplier with...

    Toronto Toronto | Ontario Line: King West Station | 10m | 1s | Metrolinx | HDR

Fun fact: these cavern formworks are custom built in India and shipped here for assembling.

Looks pretty close to the render:

Yonge Street Revitalization (Downtown Yonge BIA/City of Toronto)

The city mentioned the OL construction at Queen as the main reason for the delay of construction start in 2030 which i think is too convenient. Is there any temporary options that could be considered ? bollards, planters, street furnitures, loading zones.... ? pedestrian desparately need more...

Alto - High Speed Rail (Toronto-Quebec City)

Since immigration is stalling and the carbon tax is gone I guess this is the new wedge issue for the Conservatives to rally their base. The Liberals are expected to complete their majority sooner or later so there is nothing to lose for PP to dip into this, throw and see what sticks kind of...

    TTC: Other Items (catch all)

It might look extreme but only applied to match days (6 over 4 weeks). Outside of matchdays I believe exhibition ground is still publicly accessible and streetcars still can go to exhibition loop. From Fleet st stop to the stadium is only 800m, which is ideal for crowd management and sponsors...

    Toronto Toronto | Eglinton Line 5 | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx | Arcadis

Just got off at Kennedy at 9am sharp. Took it from Cerdavale but forgot the exact departure time. My observations: it's good. The underground portion feels like a proper subway. The above ground is obviously slower but acceleration and dwell time is better than Line 6. While the transit...

    TTC: Streetcar Network

Apologies if this has been answered before. When bunching happens why is the behind-schedule streetcar not allowed to skip stops and let the one right behind pick up passengers in order to rebalance the pacing between them. Instead on many occasions when I was taking the streetcar the latter...

Toronto Ontario Line 3 | Metrolinx

TBM installation has started inside the portal at Exhibition. (Not my pic, will be deleted in 24h) Took it down earlier than planned because someone post it on Reddit
