Surprised there isn't more of an urbex scene in Toronto. Great shots! 🫡

Condo shoeboxes are pretty much the product of housing supply being so constrained and asininely over-regulated that investors seek to maximize returns by whatever means possible. I have sincere doubts you would see condos of this size with this price tag if zoning were deregulated across the...

    Toronto Toronto | Crosstown LRT | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx | Arcadis

I know they couldn't have foreseen this in hindsight, but with tunneling becoming vastly cheaper in recent years they should have opted to just do a C&C extension of the metro along Eglinton. A lot of cities in North America are slowly finding out these weird ad-hoc LRT systems are often *more*...

It would be bizarre if they we're planning to cheap out on a hotel with their name on it but you never know from the renders.

    Toronto Toronto | Social at Church + Dundas | 164.89m | 52s | Pemberton | RAW Design

There's plenty of buildings that are quite frankly terrible that surround Times Square, like the Marriott Marquis. They just seem less imposing because they're drowned out by billboards and the fact that New York City has a lot more density. What do you suggest then? Only allow for certain...

Eh, I think it's okay. It's definitely not going to win any awards for design but it provides some much needed density. The nature of a city that can grow organically is that you'll end up with buildings that are nicer than others.
