Was there an application for a rooftop restaurnat on this project?

    General Infill Discussion

What a cop out. My community has plenty of elders and we respect them, but that doesn't make them infallible. A bad decision is still a bad decision regardless of how you got there.

    General Infill Discussion

COE released youtube videos to help people pronounce the names. That is a clear enough sign of how abysmal a choice the ward names are.

    O-day’min Park (formerly Warehouse Park)

re: Out_of_towner; feeling angry can be addictive because it triggers a release of chemicals like adrenaline and dopamine, creating a temporary high or rush that the brain can crave. This cycle can lead to seeking out situations that provoke anger as a way to achieve that feeling. It's a common...

Manifesting that they will somehow return to the drawing board and approve the conversion of the upper deck to a shared walkway/bike path connecting downtown and whyte

The people moving into these infills are aware of the parking situation already. Every single neighbor next to these infills have existing alleyways and garages to park in. What exactly is the issue?

    132 Ave Renewal

The road is meant to be a collector road, not an arterial road. The new design reflects that. People expecting to use it as an arterial road will probably become frustrated and redirect themselves to the nearby arterial roads. A quick look at google maps shows that there is easy access to...

Cycling and Active Transportation in Edmonton

Exactly! I see kids and seniors using the bike lanes in my neighborhood and I can't help but think they seriously need to toughen up or just drive like the rest of us.

You've reduced your driving because of road diets, speed bumps etc...?

    River Valley Planning Modernization Project

Victoria golf course is booked up usually and the driving range is probably the most profitable in the city (mill woods might give it a run for its money). The course is highly used, I don’t know what metrics you’re using to say it’s not a good use of land.

High Level Bridge Streetcar / ERRS

I think I’m in the minority, but I truly wish our streetcar line was decommissioned to create a NYC style “high line” from whyte to downtown. I honestly think this would be a massive improvement to both communities

Cycling and Active Transportation in Edmonton

I can’t tell if you’re serious. I’ve already told you how many children use the paths to go to school. Did you see a picture of adults riding bicycles and conclude that children don’t use bike paths? Do I have to post a picture of the kids riding bikes to school each time someone comments?

Cycling and Active Transportation in Edmonton

I find the best route coming down 110 is to turn onto 76 then go down south on 112. 112 loops through parkallen and connects to the MUP in 111

Cycling and Active Transportation in Edmonton

I go through that stretch quite often on my bike. You'll be happy to know that since the road has been narrowed, cars travel much slower and thus safer. Any increase in danger from your jay-walking concern is far outweighed by the benefits simply from slower travelling cars. It's gotten so safe...

    132 Ave Renewal

ah, I see where you got confused. This road is a neighborhood collector road, it’s not a main road. It’s supposed to provide access to schools and travel within the neighborhood. I think you’ve been treating it as a main road and that’s causing your frustrations.
