The closest subway station to the stadium is Downsview Park Station, then you can walk about 15 - 20 minutes to the stadium.

I'm talking about half of the "Fan Plaza" in front of the stadium. I agree that the tents, etc. in the area is just what it could look like, but the actual area that the tents are in is reduced. They probably reduced it because they don't have enough time to build it all.
