OK guys I wont bore you with my long story, just the lesson: If you have a PDI scheduled, just make sure of "visiting" the unit the day before. That's what I did, and found out the unit was not livable at all and had to push my inspection for 2 days later... by the way the construction office...

I have my PDI this week too, so I freak out when saw these pics..I immediately called the lawyer...very comforting...according to law as long as it has plumbing, water, electricity, and heating is good to go...ahhh, and on top on that we have to pay $2000 for the occupancy fee...dont know for...

Thanks so much to everyone for the provided information and the good intentions to help. I called Esmeralda and they will do take care of the extra month cost of rent, at least it is a relief to confirm they do take some responsibility and good to know I wont need to sleep on the street..:-)...

As far as I know the cupboards in the model room were ,originally an upgrade but the builder decided to give it as standard (just that one, that color, that model), bullnose edging on the granite countertop was an expensive upgrade. In the model "standard" kitchen there were actually "details"...

What do you mean by that? isn't the kitchen good quality?

Sorry..we have no idea... I guess we didn't care too much, since we bought a small Stackable Washer Dryer at CA...

Well maybe the reason is, as I mentioned before, because of the service elevator, which is located right on the column of the Manhattans, even if you are some floors up yours can be ready first...

Thanks for the consolation...Im really down ....I received a letter advising the moving date is now April 18, but Im afraid it may even take longer...my other concern is that the "service elevator" is right on my living room...I also have a Manhattan....which makes me thing the apartments on...

This view is so disappointing, so raw...Im on the 7th and we were supposed to move on March 20...which has been pushed back now to April 18...but with that flood excuse they can keep postponing it I guess...

Dont know about that yet, Im supposed to move in March..but the lady in charge of taking notes of the upgrades was a real mess, she left a lot to be desired, I wouldn't be surprised if she screwed it up!
