A wood structure condo is definitely not an investment for the future, didn't plan on living here forever. I can imagine what the mainteance fees will look like down the road when it needs a bunch of major repairs. I figured they would go up, but a couple hundred dollars the next year? I hope...

I will be moving if it goes any higher, there's almost no ammenities in this place and everything is individually metered, seems a little hard to justify. Stuff like $2500 for cable tv in the gym/party room could probably be changed to basic cable. Also don't need a community bbq....

And there's the maintenance fee increase!

I live far enough down the floor that it shoudn't be an issue, but these people are literally hanging out outside the glass doors chatting it up in the middle of the night. If we had security or property management on site it wouldn't be an issue. Gathering areas in other buildings have time...

I think the brick looks better personally. Now that it's open, you get the inconsiderate people using it at 1:30AM screaming and shouting in the hallways outside it, as if nobody else lives on the floor. The doors should be locked after 11PM or something. Next thing to look into which...

When are all of the defects all over the building going to be addressed?

The doors have been locked for a long time. I noticed the sign was posted on them last week. I think it was quite obvious that the floor looked out of whack for months now since the snow cleared up, seems kind of slow getting the ball rolling.

I assume by the time the terrace is fixed summer will be over

+1. The old system seemed fine. If huge buildings with 400+ units can handle random numbers for residents, I'm not sure why this 180 unit building cannot? I just checked mine and my old code is still there, not my unit number.

Anyone been in the fitness room lately? Pretty sad how cheap and shady some people are. Rubber balls missing, straight bar/chain from the universal machine missing (what would someone even do with this in a condo, I don't know), cheap 2 dollar white rack that was on the floor for the...

Visited a friend who bought at 60 Absolute (one of the marilyn monroe buildings). I haven't been in many of the new buildings in sauga, but I will say compared to this place: Super fast elevators (more floors obviously), much quieter on each floor (units are only on one side of the hallway and...

Sounds like its a wiring issue.... Didn't smell anything when I got home. Must have been addressed? Emailed the tax dept. last week and my tax bill has now miraculously arrived!

What area of the building? The sprinklers in the area it's in are not working???

A gas furnance still uses electricity to be powered and ignite. Circuit board, switches, majority of usage comes from powering the fans, but yes, it will not use as much electricity as an electric heater. I used around 100 kWh more than the November bill, which is def from the heater...

It's obviously the non-energy efficient electric space heater that is heating your water heater closet 24/7 since November. Those things are power hogs. My bill went up as well, but not by that much. I turned the knob down a bit though. My condo is the same size. I have the thermostat...

Yeah I just meant with the bi-monthly electricity bill. Did anyone receive a property tax bill yet? Mine is separate from the mortgage and I still haven't received anything, think I remember reading something saying it wouldn't be until the end of the year though.

My previous usage so far in December was between 3-7 kWh per day. Since Tuesday's spaceheater being turned up, it's been 10-14 kWh per day. The bill is going to end up being double the amount after 2 months of this.

They shouldn't be removing the dials, that's a little uncalled for. My unit was also set at like 27 when I got home from work, was a sauna in there, not sure why they had to adjust my room temperature too. There was a sticker on my theromostat for the company in question.

I emailed Harold about it yesterday and he emailed back with something along the lines of "you don't need to turn it off on warmer days because there is a theromostat built in, so it won't run unless it's cold". I want to know what temp it runs at and what temp it will stop. But ya, they...
