I keep looking at the one low section of wall just as the creek turns. It looks like it's highly susceptible to flooding.

I saw the underbridge tracks on Thursday but didn't have time to post pics. Here they are, with bonus CP train thanks to lucky timing. What is that concrete section? A crossover for emergency vehicles? I can't imagine it would be open to regular traffic.

So Fairview is now Thornwood? I lived in that area for several years and never have I heard of Thornwood. Plus that diagram is so confusing by placing the loop stops in-line with the Hurontario stops, and it looks like the LRT goes past every loop stop 3 times but only stops once! Where even is...

Where did you get this statement from? 4 seats abreast in transverse seating takes up the portion of the train car exactly equal to seat pitch i.e. the distance between rows. 4 seats longitudinally takes up the length exactly equal to the width of two seats. Width of two seats is generally...

5mm? Honestly... fair. You don't even need precision equipment to check that. A tape measure from Home Depot is enough if you know how to use it. That's unacceptably out of spec for rails, in my unprofessional opinion. I still want to know why this wasn't caught earlier. There should have been...

Can't afford to do it right, but can afford to do it twice.

If I were feeling generous, I might assume that the upper path is there because they're going to be putting in the actual sidewalk on the lower part and don't want to block pedestrians with construction yet again.

I was walking around the Cooksville rail bridge (my old neighbourhood) a few days ago and snapped a few pics. Most of them would be redundant to what @Dan416 posted, so I'm only including four below. Some work finally progressing around the bridge pier. It feels like they've been afraid to touch...

No specific aspect. Rather, how is oversight and management so lacking that the whole thing gets built over the course of many weeks, yet no one notices the fault? If there is a some problem making the work unacceptable, it should be caught during the work. The person who eventually said...

Again, the Fairview stop isn't at Fairview Road! It's at Central Parkway, which is a major intersection. By measures of road traffic, it's a league above Elm/Hurontario. I understand the argument that more people live nearer to Elm/Hurontario despite Elm being a smaller road, but Elm and Central...

The "Fairview" stop isn't at Fairview Road. It's at Central Parkway -- on the north side, in fact. Therefore, these distances are quite a bit off: Burnhamthorpe - Fairview is actually a shorter trip than Fairview - Cooksville GO On the topic of Elm Drive: The distance from Elm to Central...

The person I was replying to was talking about the new condo right on Hurontario. What's the solution then? Stops every 200m? I understand that for some people, especially those with mobility problems, the stops will be too far, but the line has to run at a reasonable pace. There has to be a...

    Mississauga Toronto | Hurontario-Main Line 10 LRT | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx

"Fairview" stop is named for the neighbourhood and not the street. That said, it's more like 300m from Fairview Rd. to Central Parkway, and should be under 4 minutes to walk unless you're going real slow.

    QEW - Mississauga/Credit River Project

I'm not happy with the ugly, standard pedestrian overpass. They had the opportunity to send pedestrians under the bridge to cross the QEW, giving them a view of the river along the way, with a connection to the underslung pedestrian walkway. It wouldn't've have added much distance as the...

They were pouring concrete at Hurontario and Bunhamthorpe yesterday (Oct 8). I was only passing by and could not stop for pictures. Hoping the intersection will finally be done.

Toronto Ontario Line 3 | Metrolinx

What's "fairly"? It seems obvious to me that a fair price for someone who wants to sell their home is categorically different to a fair price for someone who does not want to sell it. Yet it appears this is not at all obvious to a lot of people posting here. There are things I own that I would...

    Mississauga Toronto | Hurontario-Main Line 10 LRT | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx

Where does the 4 month figure come from? The track intersection can be rebuilt in under a week so the line can run. The surrounding work will disrupt car traffic for longer but I just don't see how it can take months to do. They can build several intersections in that time.

That does raise the question: Are they going to try to at least greenify the median between the tracks in places like this?
