No, I'm not working there, and my contacts have mostly moved on. I can't vouch for the 100% accuracy of these numbers, but I was told that the quantity of the pour for the core slab is in the neighborhood of 2700 cu meters. That's still a lot to pour in one day! If the elevator area in the middle...

There are more levels of steel to be laid and the pour originally scheduled for Boxing day, now likely to happen in January. The pour will be less than that of the Four Seasons. The big machines in the hole were scheduled to be lifted out this morning, and the large machine on top was moved...

In general, the grade will be reduced a little over 4 metres below the last tie-back level. There is also a deep core footing which covers a significant chunk of the north end, and caissons still have to be drilled to support that footing.

Yes there are 2 levels of tie-backs to drill under the ramp and a lot of caisson drilling at the northwest end before excavation can resume.

These tie-backs are generally 5 metres apart but only 3 metres between the 3rd and 4th row. The floor grade is down another 4.5m from the current grade---6 levels of underground including retail. When these tie-backs are stressed, the ramp is scheduled to be flipped to the southwest corner in...

The pace will slow a tad until the 3rd row of tie-backs are all stressed and test holes are drilled at the north end to determine precise depth of bedrock. The grade will then be reduced 3 meters to the 4th and final row of tie-backs. Caissons to support the building core will be drilled from...
