I could see it happening in 20/30 years :)

Cycling: West Toronto Railpath (City of Toronto, Phase II Proposed)

I suspect at this point they'll need to justify the cost or drop it so hoping we'll hear more details soon - it does seem ridiculous at first glance

    Queen Street West

Is it just me, or retail picking back up in this stretch (I'm mainly referring to WQW) more of the vacant restaurants/stores seem to be getting new leases. It's not like the hay day ~10+ years ago but curious if others see the same ? I think the east part closer to the core is still struggling...

    @Northern Light I was referring to the townhomes - I don't think they're co-ops - here's a listing: https://housesigma.com/bkv2/landing/rootpage/listing?id_listing=dXze3eKrAVvy8m9K&utm_campaign=listing&utm_source=user-share&utm_medium=desktop&ign=

@AlvinofDiaspar @Northern Light - Excelenent points both ! I do appreciate the fact if these were to be rebuilt as market rate condos (even with a larger portion of subsided housing) unless something else was at play there is no way the 3-bedroom townhomes would be replaced - or better put...

Toronto Toronto | David Crombie Park Revitalization | ?m | ?s | City of Toronto

Not directly about the park but wanted to get folks thoughts on this - what would people think to a full scale demolition ion of all the housing south of the park for a rebuild with increased density ? Particularly the low density townhomes ? I think at the time this was built it made sense...

    Toronto Toronto | Portland Commons | 71.7m | 15s | Carttera | Sweeny &Co

It's a new AAA (I suspect) office building, I suspect in time it'll attract tenants from nearby older buildings. It also has ~60K SF floor plans which is nearly unheard of. I wonder if they could get some institutional use (e.g. schools).

    Toronto Toronto | Sugar Wharf Condominiums (Phase 2) | 299m | 90s | Menkes | a—A

Has the park design been finalized here btw ?

    Toronto Toronto | Artists' Alley | 121.91m | 39s | Lanterra | Hariri Pontarini

I really hope there are nice ground level finishes here e.g. interlock / nice pavers - I"m not sure that'll be the case though ...

    Toronto Toronto | 145 Wellington West | 213.05m | 61s | H&R REIT | PARTISANS

It's interesting as the project website hasn't had an update in 2 years. I wonder if they'll look to remove the office portion of the proposal and make it purely residential at this point. But I agree with you, I've always been found of this office building. With that said, the proposal as it...

Is it really the second most expensive subway build out?? Why, I find that hard to believe?

    Toronto Toronto | 200 University | 188.53m | 54s | GWL | KPMB

I believe there are two main aspects to consider here. First, I firmly believe it's worth preserving, and I don't quite understand the comments about it not holding up well—it looks great to me. That said, someone brought up a valid point earlier: what if we could build on this site from...

    Toronto Toronto | Ellie Condos | 105.76m | 31s | G Group | Kirkor

Honestly it's not that bad : ) It's better in person those pictures don't do it justice, it's not great don't get me wrong but ... it's not terrible - the podium is, hmm, creative ?

    Ontario Science Centre

I think the zoo comparison is a great one and it does make me wonder how things got so bad at the OSC - especially given how world renowned it was in the early days ! If you think back maybe 3 or 4 years ago - there were many articles about low zoo attendance and how it was struggling - I would...

    Office Space Conversions

Seems like desperation ... I hope Toronto never gets to that point unless they're mandating affordable housing to go along with the conversion. I'm not sure why anyone would harrold that as a model to copy. Maybe the thought is they do it enough it get's traction and then can start to decrease...

    Queens Park Renovation

Is that temporary ? I'm surprised they need that with the reno of the MacDonald block ?

    Toronto Toronto | Waterworks Building Redevelopment | 47.55m | 13s | MOD Developments | Diamond Schmitt

Right and office traffic is really key as well - so that's going to play a role. Office in this context can be anything (e.g. schools, ...) - something to generate day time traffic - often residents aren't necessarily working nearby so that doesn't help.

Anyone feel this is going to be a bit of oversaturation of "food halls" ? :) There's also union station + Eaton Center
