I want to flag this one to @sayfelysium on this one, on the off chance he's not already aware of this....... I mentioned an idea concerning a new access to Keele Station from the west possibly being delivered (in part) as a community benefit in the thread for Elysium's nearby development site...

The Lobbyist Registry tells us this mid-rise apartment building is in play. Streetview: Aerial Pic: Site Size: ~0.76ha or just shy of 2ac The Lobbying notes that flood mitigation is contemplated as part of this proposal, with the site backing onto Taylor-Massey Creek. That demands a...

    PM Justin Trudeau's Canada

Unfortunately, largely true. Also, where there is a longer term play, its often not part of the platform that you get to consider. Perhaps we ought to demand better? While I agree, before you say it, that that is easier said than done......its also something that has been achieved in the...

Put in for that! Write to Justin, or to the Mayor. Get it on the radar! No harm in asking. **** Also of note, Bikeshare will produce a new Expansion Plan this year for the period from 2025-2027/8. They aren't asking for input yet, but get the idea out of front and at least it may...

    TTC: Other Items (catch all)

In fairness to Adam, its been more than a few years........ Without condoning his past behaviors, I might add, he is far from the only Councillor to have sexual relationships with staff/interns/others at City Hall.........the former Mayor exited for just said reason, and there's someone at...

Your piece is now linked: https://www.theglobeandmail.com/canada/toronto/article-at-the-bus-station-toronto-makes-grand-designs-for-its-future/ **** Alex's piece provides a solid summary of the proposal and he is broadly laudatory of entire thing and the process that delivered it. I...

General cycling issues (Is Toronto bike friendly?)

I would not say I'm not concerned. Best case scenario (nothing happens to the bike lanes).......this will have consumed media space, public consciousness, served as a wedge issue and a distraction, and cost 7-figures worth of staff time between the province and Toronto and to a lesser degree...

General cycling issues (Is Toronto bike friendly?)

I'm far too cynical to be hopeful; but I'm also far too cynical to be unduly pessimistic. I've seen it all, come and go........before and again. There's not much I can add at this juncture............
