I think that your photo is from the 407 Station. Serving farmers and wildlife in the GTA.

Weird that they are marketing this as "complete the Daniel City centre". Maybe they sold, or are planning to sell, their remaining parcels?

The rooftop outside amenity area -- for the residents - is dependent on the asymmetric mechanicals. The cabanas and the lounge area is enlarged by the placement of the mech box. These buildings aren't just for buildings fans to appreciate from afar... they are homes for the residents, and...

Does anyone know what is to happen to that concrete wall on the north side while the final phase awaits development? Hopefully it will be dressed up somehow.

Thanks Solaris. And good to know that it will be underground rather that above. Southern downtown has been starting to look like mid-west city with all of those bridges.

From the bus photos above, it looks like a PATH +15 wraps around the core and extends to Infinity... how is it going to link in to the PATH network? To the south - to Southcore, or to the east - to Maple Leaf Square? More bridges, or tunnels?

    Toronto Toronto | Union Pearson Express | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx | MMM Group Limited

I did a Pearson run a few weeks ago, from my office downtown, at rush hour. I paid $26.00 for the airport shuttle bus, saving about $30 by not taking a limo. Would I pay $20-$30 for this train, knowing that it will be faster not get stuck in traffic on the Gardner or 427? You bet! Would I have...

One of the referenced are pieces is a phallic shaped ceramin inlay, called 18 Niches. I thought it was a typo.

These towers don't need mechanical boxes to cheapen them.... the apartment buildings across the street will do that just fine! It is too bad they can't be made invisible like in the rendering above. I hope I am wrong, but I think prospective buyers are going to have a tough time with the...

Southcore Financial Ctr: PricewaterhouseCoopers Tower (18 York St, bcIMC, 26s, KPMB)

Soviet Block Sadly this building looks like it could have been home to the Ministry of Information in the old Soviet Union!

Context's Market Wharf Condo Adds a Syncopated Beat to the St Lawrence Neighbourhood

When are they going to dig up that parking lot just north of the site and plant the forest, like they have in the model?

    Toronto Toronto | First Canadian Place Rejuvenation | 298.08m | 72s | Brookfield | MdeAS Architects

I think the east/west differences used to be wind-direction related.... no one wanted to be downwind from the dump/plants/ etc. So towns and cities developed with the non-smelly stuff on the west side, and the polluting industries on the east. Land was thus more expensive on the west side, and...

Man that building on the corner is ugly!! And its neighbour on the northwest corner is almost as bad!

Article: Photo Of The Day: The Gardiner Expressway As It Zigs And Zags Around Downtow

Dress it up to look like a bridge -- towers could be spaced across the downtown portion, with LED light strings running between them. Very quickly, and probably quite cheaply, Toronto would have its own version of a Lions Gate Bridge of Sydney Harbour Bridge. And no one ever wants those...

Toronto CityPlace: Montage + Neo (Concord Adex, 47 + 16s, KPMB)

That is the Carnegie Hall Tower in NYC, rising 60 floors/231 meters. In person it is stunning, and for 10 years has been my favourite building. Wish we could get a version of this in TO.

    Mississauga Toronto | Absolute World | 169.77m | 56s | Cityzen | MAD architects

While it is fun to see these two amazing towers progressing in the photos posted on this site, what a pain in the ass it is to have to read all the bitchy back and forth posts in between the "real" updates. Could all of you snipers please take some time off so that the rest of us don't have to...

    Toronto Toronto | Canoe Landing Park | ?m | ?s | Concord Adex

What a crumby name! Doesn't mean a damned thing! The name "Towers View Park" would have been much more appropriate. Oh well.

What is that building immediately south of the gardner? For real, or a dream?
