Last drink at pennies is such a sad thought. Such a unique spot.

I think they were comparing to beaver lake in Montreal, not Lake Ontario. As far as the comparison is concerned, Beaver lake is much larger. The average depth of the lake is approximately15m and is said to cover approximately 1.5 hectares (15000m). That seems like a huge undertaking to drain...

From today. The scale of the building and the vantage point from Berczy park are kind of giving me NYC vibes for some reason. Super cool.

The slower the better IMO - I really enjoy Pennies. Great patio, it's always packed!

    Perceptions of Accesible Retail Downtown

I'm not sure that was the spirit of their post tbh. With all the new condo's going up and thousands of new residents, there will need to be more grocery options. I agree that city councillors purposefully working towards bringing more options to the neighborhood could be helpful. I think we all...

    Perceptions of Accesible Retail Downtown

I’m boggled at the statement that people downtown should not expect a grocery store within walking distance 😂. The notion above of having to have one on every corner in order to fulfill this need is hyperbolic, at best. The term “food desert” is a very real thing and if the no frills closes...

Even just the arched podium portion would make this so so much better.
