I think the thing I hate so much about spandrel is that it reminds me and probably many of you of framing. This type of spandrel application makes the wall look unfinished as if your suppose to attach some type of real cladding to it and the mullions are the anchor points. It's too messy looking...

This does look bad from renderings or at least boring but if they actually put effort on the exterior materials and details, it might turn out okay. Not putting money on it though.

A good example of this not being executed is 10 york. The rendering shows this fancy tapered and angled glass for the podium. Turned out to be boring and slab sided. Which was a shame being located in a highly visual area for cars in between the Gardiner and a off ramp.

It's surprising and almost alien to see new buildings in Toronto that have curves in their design considering the last 15 years, most of the buildings that have gone up have been so cookie cutter. This is a breath of fresh air.

I love condo windows that don't have a million mullions running through them. Just floor to ceiling glass, with a solid border around them.

I think it looks great. Window wall looks clean with the dark trim. A lot of newer condos in Toronto are very messy interms of window wall. This is spandrelless and uncluttered. Not very cheap looking at all. IMO it fits in well
